QRS 117
QRS 117 is a 1994 Dodge Caravan. This unit is the department’s quick response vehicle for medical emergencies on campus. The QRS service was started in 2006 through the efforts of Joshua Trbovich, C'07 and Nathan Harig, C'08. Trbovich's, SVFD EMS Captain, and Harig's efforts resulted in QRS 117 being recognized as a state licensed QRS. QRS 117 is equipped with a compliment of medical equipment including an AED. To ensure the department is staffed with properly trained personnel, SVFD offers CPR / First Aid training annually. In addition, First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses are offered at Saint Vincent College through SVFD by Mutual Aid EMS. Anyone interested in SVFD training opportunities is encouraged to access the Training Calendar link on this website.
