  • Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification

Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification is for those who have already earned a bachelor's degree. Regardless of your certification area, the Education Department at Saint Vincent College combines content-area course work, education course work and field experience, with a liberal arts tradition. As a result of this instruction, candidates who complete certification at Saint Vincent College are well prepared and are thus very successful in passing all parts of the Praxis examinations and in obtaining teaching positions.

We offer Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification in the following areas:

    Applying for Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification

    1. Submit the Teacher Certification Application
    2. Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended

Once a candidate applies to the program, a course audit will be performed for the certification that is desired. At that time, previously  taken course work will be matched to the courses listed on the advising sheet in their desired certification area. If the application meets the requirements for admission, an acceptance letter will be sent with the name of their assigned adviser in the Education Department.
