“Terrorism and Democracy” is the topic of a lecture to be given at the Duquesne Club on Thursday, May 26, beginning at noon. The Honorable Richard Perle of the American Enterprise Institute will deliver the lecture, which is sponsored by the Center for Economic and Policy Education in cooperation with the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government at Saint Vincent College. Space is limited, and reservations are required. Tickets are $50 per person and include lunch.
Richard Perle is Resident Fellow of the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington D.C., where he had directed its Commission on Future Defenses. He is a leading authority on national security, military requirements, arms proliferation and defense, and regional conflicts. Previously, Mr. Perle served as Chairman of the Defense Policy Board, Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy, and a member of the U.S. Senate Staff. He writes frequently for the op-ed pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Daily Telegraph (London), Jerusalem Post and other publications. He appears on radio and television on matters of security and foreign policy. He is the co- author of An End to Evil and author of Hard Line, a political novel. He has a B.A. in International Politics from the University of Southern California (1964) and an M.A. in Politics from Princeton University (1967) and has held Fellowships with Princeton University, the Ford Foundation and the American Council of Learned Societies.
