The 5th Annual Undergraduate Conference
The 5th Annual Undergraduate Conference will be held on April 23, 2008, following the Honors Convocation ceremony. We have a longer period of time for the conference this year, and will be able to accommodate more presentations than we have in the past. Students are encouraged to participate in the conference, either by presenting their research and/or creative work, or by attending the conference. The event will begin around 2:20 pm and end around 7:00 pm.
So what should I present?
- Students…Consider submitting individual research papers, research posters, or a panel that discusses the same topic or theme.
- Faculty…encourage your students to discuss their internships on a panel with their peers.
- Service Learning courses…describe the theory learned in class and the outcomes achieved through your social projects.

It's easy to submit your proposal
All students must submit this proposal form to a faculty member to sponsor your work. Your work will be explained in the form of an abstract—a 150 word or less explanation of your project.
The faculty member will then forward the form and your abstract to a Blackboard site where the Conference Committee members will keep track of all submissions.
This is your opportunity to shine.
Show off your work. You’re the best expert of your own work. Be proud and confident and share your project or experience with your peers and SVC community.
Location
The majority of the conference will be held in the Carey Center where posters will be presented throughout the lounge. Prep and Headmasters Hall will be the location for the majority of the panels and paper presentations. Video and computer/web presentations will be in the Mac Lab of Prep Hall. A detailed layout of the conference will be sent to all student mailboxes the week of the event.
