The Lady Bearcats have been selected to participate in the 2009 ECAC Division-III South Region Championships, and will take to the road for opening round action beginning Wednesday night.  

Fifth-seeded Saint Vincent (22-10) will travel to Erie, PA to face fourth-seeded Penn State-Behrend (22-10) in opening round action on Wednesday night beginning at 7pm.

After capturing back-to-back ECAC Division-II titles in 2006 and 2007, this season marks the first in which the Lady Bearcats will compete for the ECAC D-III title.

The Penn State-Behrend Lions, who were defeated 3-1 by Frostburg State in the Allegheny Mountain Collegeiat Conference championship over the weekend, are no strangers to the ECAC postseason, as they captured the 2008 South region championship.
