The Lady Bearcats put together a strong effort in their 3-0 win at Washington & Jefferson.

After winning a close first set, 25-23, the Lady Bearcats took charge, taking the second set 25-7 before ending the match with a 25-19 victory in set number three.

Diana Petrovich led the way for SVC, recording eight kills and six service aces, while teammate Natalie Hozak posted six kills and three aces.

"We really played well the entire match," said SVC head coach Sue Hozak.  "It was especially a strong defensive effort from the entire team."

With the win, the Lady Bearcats winning streak now stands at three matches, and they improve their record to 10-6 on the year.  The squad returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Waynesburg University for a Presidents' Athletic Conferenc triangular match against the host Yellow Jackets as well as Geneva College.
