The Lady Bearcats saw their season end with a 3-1 defeat at DeSales University in the semifinals of the ECAC Southern Region Championships.

Saint Vincent opened the day in fine fashion, posting a 25-15 victory in the opening set, before DeSales answered back with victories of 25-19, 27-25, and 25-20.

Diana Petrovich has a big day offensively for the Lady Bearcats, posting a match-high 22 kills, while Taylor Guido added 15 kills and Dawn Timko eight.

Defensively, Devin McGrath led the way for SVC with 19 digs, while Christa Calgaro posted 16, Guido 14, and Erin Perry 12. Guido and Timko also added two blocks apiece.

The Lady Bearcats, who were seeded fifth in the ECAC tourney, end the year with a 23-11 overall record. Top-seeded DeSales, who moves on to face Gallaudet University in the regional championship, improved to 24-8 with the victory.
