The Lady Bearcats posted a pair of victories on their final home date of the season.

SVC opened the day up with a 3-1 win over Bethany, and then defeated Franciscan University 3-0 in the nightcap.

In the morning match, the Lady Bearcats took the first two, 30-18 and 30-21, before dropping the third to Bethany by a 26-30 tally.  SVC then regrouped to take the fourth 30-19 to seal the 3-1 win.

Five players had at least 12 kills in the win, including Natalie Hozak (16), Diana Petrovich (16), Lauren Paddick (14), Anna Wasik (12), and Erin Perry (12).  Hozak led the team with 23 digs, while Paddick and Petrovich each had three blocks.  Christa Calgaro added 18 digs and Kristin Hozak set 65 assists to go with six service aces.

In the nightcap, the Lady Bearcats made quick work of Franciscan University, winning 30-15, 30-19, and 30-11. 

Paddick led both sides with 11 kills, while Petrovich added 10 and Natalie Hozak nine with a team-leading 14 digs.  Perry and Wasik both had eight kills, while Petrovich had three blocks and Calgaro 11 digs.  Kristin Hozak had 49 assists and three aces.

Prior to the day's first game, the Lady Bearcat seniors - Mary Hahn, Ashlee Shearer, and Kristin Hozak- were honored in a short ceremony for their time in the green and gold.

With the win, their fourth straight, the Lady Bearcats improve to 23-8.  They will be back in action to wrap up the regular season at Geneva on Friday at 7pm.
