Saint Vincent sophomore Brittany Sedlock has been selected to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Basketball team. Sedlock, a 5-9 sophomore, was a third team selection for District 2, which encompasses all women's basketball players in NCAA Division II, III, and the NAIA in Delaware, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and West Virginia. She is one of just two players from the Presidents' Athletic Conference to receive the honor. A native of Northern Cambria, PA and graduate of Northern Cambria HS, Sedlock has turned in an impressive sophomore campaign for the Lady Bearcats. She has started all 20 games, averaging 11.5 points and 6.9 rebounds for the 15-5 Lady Bearcats. She also places among the leaders in the PAC with a .503 field goal percentage. Sedlock is a Mathematics major with a perfect 4.0 grade point average through three semesters at Saint Vincent. ESPN The Magazine academic honorees must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Academic All-District teams are voted upon by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Sedlock is the first Lady Bearcat basketball player to receive such honors in school history, and is the second Saint Vincent athlete of the 2009-10 academic year to be recognized, joining senior soccer player Ben Fecik.
