SVC Women's Basketball

2005-06 Game Recaps

11/4 vs Pikeville

The Lady Bearcats led with less than a minute to play, but lost a close contest to Pikeville (KY) by a score of 70-66 in the season opener on the road in the first round of the Shawnee State Tournament.  SVC led early in the game, but Pikeville eventually stormed back and took a four-point lead into the half.

The Lady Bearcats, led by senior guard Kristin Myers, retook the lead and nearly held off Pikeville, but faltered with a one-point lead in the game's final minute.  Foul shots in the closing seconds pushed the final margin to four.  Myers had 27 points and 8 rebounds, while Laura Klimchock added 17 points.  Freshman Lauren Reilly scored 10 points in her first collegiate game.

Foul shooting plagued the Lady Bearcats throughout the night, as the team hit only 11 of 21 on the evening.

12/1 @ Wheeling Jesuit

The Lady Bearcats dropped a non-conference game on the road to Wheeling Jesuit University by a score of 89-38.

Kristin Myers scored 17 points for the Lady Bearcats (3-4), while Christina Paolino added 10.

WJU dominated all facets of the game, shooting 55% from the floor compared to just 31% for Saint Vincent.  Wheeling outrebounded SVC by a 42-20 margin.

11/22 @ Carlow

Sophomore Laura Klimchock scored 25 points to lead the Lady Bearcats to victory over host Carlow University in the American Mideast Conference opener.  The final score was 78-58.

Klimchock had a solid night shooting...7 for 10 overall from the floor, including a perfect 2-for-2 from outside the three-point arc, and 9-for-9 from the charity stripe.

Joining her in double-digits were Kristin Myers (16), Maura Connelly (11) and Christina Paolino (10).

11/15 vs Malone

The Lady Bearcats improved to 2-3 on the young season, defeating visiting Malone 78-63 at the Robert S. Carey Center.

Sophomore Laura Klimchock led all scorers with 19 points, while the Lady Bearcat defense held the Pioneers to just 37 percent shooting from the field for the victory.

It was a back-and-forth first half, as the Lady Bearcats went on a 15-1 run with seven minutes remaining, holding the visiting Pioneers to just one point on seven posessions during the five-minute span.  Malone refused to give up, however, and countered by outscoring SVC 22-8 in the remaining moments of the first frame, with the hosts holding on to a 39-37 advantage at the intermission.

The game remained close during the first portion of the second half, as the Lady Bearcats led 57-55 with ten minutes remaining in regulation.  The SVC defense then clamped down, forcing a total of 11 turnovers in the second frame while holding the visitors to just 28 percent shooting from the field.  The Lady Bearcats were able to pull away, scoring 21 of the game's final 28 points.

Three other Lady Bearcats joined Klimchock as double-digit scorers.  Senior center Jodie Vick, despite playing in foul trouble for much of the second half, scored 15 on 6-8 shooting, adding a game-high three blocked shots.  Freshman Christina Paolino, making her Carey Center debut, scored 13, shooting 3-3 from behind the three-point line and 4-4 at the foul line while adding four assists. Junior point guard Maura Connelly scored 10 while dishing out a game-high five assists. Freshman Lauren Reilly led the Lady Bearcats with six rebounds.

11/12 vs Wilberforce

The Lady Bearcats picked up their first win of the year, defeating Wilberforce University in the second day of the Bevo Classic at Rio Grande in Ohio.  The final score was 89-84.

Laura Klimchock scored 22, followed by Kristen Myers with 21.  Jodie Vick scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds, while Lauren Reilly added 15 points and 9 rebounds.

11/11 @ Rio Grande

The Lady Bearcats dropped to 0-3 with a 73-69 loss to the host school in the first round of the University of Rio Grande tournament.

The game was tied at the half, 37-37, but hot shooting by Rio -- including a 10-18 mark from outside the 3-point arc for the game -- kept the Lady Bearcats from posting their first win of the year.

Kristin Myers led SVC with 18 points, followed by Laura Klimchock with 12 and Jodie Vick with 10.  Vick just missed a double-double, posting 9 rebounds.  Lauren Reilly had 9 points and 8 rebounds.

11/5 @ Shawnee State

The Lady Bearcats fell to 0-2 on the season after a 96-59 loss on the road against host Shawnee State University.

Kristin Myers scored 18 points to lead the Lady Bearcats in just 21 minutes of play.  Lauren Reilly added 8.

12/27-29 @ SXU Tournament

The Saint Vincent Lady Bearcats scored a 102-95 double overtime victory over Aquinas College (MI) in the opening round of the Saint Xavier Holiday Tournament in Chicago.

SVC led 33-31 at the first intermission, but the teams couldn't be separated at the end of regulation (74-74) or after one overtime period (83-83).  The Lady Bearcats then poured in 19 points in the final OT to secure the win.

Kristin Myers led the rally with 32 points and 13 rebounds.  Laura Klimchock added 29 points, while Lauren Reilly chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Klimchock set a new school record on the day, hitting 18 free throws (in 19 attempts).  The previous school mark was 16, set twice in 2000 by Kelly Morda.

The Lady Bearcats continued their hot streak in the second round of the Saint Xavier Tournament, downing the hosts -- ranked #21 in NAIA-D1 -- by 15 points.  The final score was 81-66.

The Lady Bearcats led 45-33 at the half but had to withstand a Saint Xavier rally early in the second half.  The hosts cut the margin to just three points less than three minutes into the second half, but following a timeout, SVC rallied with a 9-point run and never looked back.

Myers, fresh off a 32-point performance a night ago, led Saint Vincent with 22 points, while Klimchock added 19 and dished out 5 assists, going 13-for-14 from the charity stripe against SXU.  Jodie Vick added 14 points, and helped SVC dominate on the boards, grabbing 13 rebounds. Reilly added 12 boards as SVC held a 59-45 rebounding edge for the night.

The Lady Bearcats lost to Doane College in the Championship of the eight-team Saint Xavier Holiday Tournament in Chicago by a score of 70-40.

SVC struggled from the floor throughout the night, shooting just 29% compared to over 45% for Doane, a Nebraska school.

Klimchock and Christina Paolino each scored eight points for Saint Vincent (5-7).  Reilly pulled down a team-best 5 rebounds, but SVC was outrebounded on the night by a 45-28 margin.

After the game, Klimchock and Kristin Myers were named to the All-Tournament Team.

12/20 @ Walsh

Kristin Myers reached the 1,000-point plateau in her Saint Vincent career, but the Lady Bearcats dropped a non-conference road game at Walsh University by a score of 80-66.

Myers, a senior guard from Ford City, PA (Ford City HS) became the 20th player in the history of the program to reach the milestone, scoring 19 on the night to give her 1,014.  Laura Klimchock also added 19, while Jodie Vick scored 12 for SVC (3-6).

Lauren Reilly was the Lady Bearcats' top rebounder with 9, while Myers had a team-high four steals. JoAnn Walker had three steals for SVC in just seven minutes on the court.

SVC led by as many as 11 with 11 minutes remaining in the first half, but a strong Walsh comeback gave the Cavaliers a 48-41 halftime lead from which SVC was never able to recover.

12/10 @ Ursuline

The Ursuline Arrows upset the Lady Bearcats by a score of 72-68 in Ohio in an American Mideast Conference North Division matchup.

Saint Vincent led early, but Ursuline rallied to lead much of the first half.  A three-pointer by Christina Paolino tied the game at 31-31 with less than a minute remaining in the first half, but the Arrows posted a 5-0 run to take a 36-31 lead into the break.

The Lady Bearcats then opened the second half with an 11-point run to lead 42-36, but Ursuline once again fought back, taking a one-point lead with 11 minutes remaining.  With 2:35 to go, Saint Vincent led by a score of 66-63 but the Arrows once again hit key shots to take the lead.

SVC trailed by just two and had a chance to take the lead with seven seconds remaining, but a three-point attempt by Kristin Myers didn't connect, sealing the win for Ursuline.

Laura Klimchock led Saint Vincent with 18 points, followed by Myers (13), Lauren Reilly (12) and Christina Paolino (11).  Myers was SVC's top rebounder with 6, but Ursuline held the team advantage on the boards, 39-24.

2/18 @ Point Park

The Lady Bearcats finished the 2005-06 season on a high note, defeating Point Park University on the road by a score of 71-62.

Seniors Kristin Myers and Jodie Vick, along with junior Maura Connelly, all played well in their last game in the green and gold, but sophomore Laura Klimchock stole the show with 26 points on the evening.  Myers added 19 points and 7 steals, while freshman Lauren Reilly had 8 rebounds.

SVC led 33-29 at the half, but Point Park played tough early in the second half.  A Lindsay Dibble three-pointer gave PPU a 44-39 edge with 13:00 remaining, but a reverse lay-up by Christina Paolino started a 10-point Lady Bearcat run.  Point Park refused to quit, however, eventually tying the game at 56 with 3:57 left.  That's when Klimchock took over, scoring the next five points for SVC, giving the visitors a lead they would never lose.

1/7 @ Houghton

The Lady Bearcats picked up their second conference victory of the year, a 66-53 win on the road against Houghton College in New York.

Saint Vincent was led by senior Kristin Myers, who topped all scorers with 30 points.  Christina Paolino added 8 points, while Lauren Reilly scored 7 and was the team's top rebounder with 11.

1/6 @ Roberts Wesleyan

The Roberts Wesleyan Raiders, led by the one-two punch of Judy Wright and Christine Hunter, defeated Saint Vincent in an American Mideast Conference matchup in Rochester, NY.  The final score was 73-51.

Wright pumped in 29 while Hunter added 20 to pace the Lady Raiders.  The Lady Bearcats were plagued by shooting trouble throughout the night, shooting just 26% from the field and only 57% from the charity stripe for the night.

Kristin Myers led Saint Vincent with 13 points, while Janelle Reed and Joann Walker each scored 8 off the bench.  Christina Paolino, making her first collegiate start in place of injured Laura Klimchock, had a game-high 11 rebounds.

2/7 vs Carlow

Despite a career night from junior point guard Maura Connelly, the Lady Bearcats dropped a 91-84 overtime decision to the Carlow Celtics.

Connelly scored a career high 20 points while adding seven assists, but it wasn't enough, as Carlow outscored SVC 54-42 over the second half and overtime session to take home the road victory.

The Lady Bearcats found themselves down by as many as seven with 8:18 left in the first half, but entered halftime on a wave of momentum, outscoring the Celtics 22-13 over the half's final seven minutes to take a 42-37 advantage into the intermission.

The second half was a back and forth affair, with the Celtics answering the Lady Bearcats bucket for bucket.  The Lady Bearcats enjoyed their largest lead of the night with just under 14 minutes to go in the second, when a three by Laura Klimchock made the score 54-48.

Carlow was able to chip away at the SVC advantage, and eventually took a 65-62 lead with 5:30 to go on a Christina Costa three.

Connelly's sixth three pointer on the evening put SVC up 68-67 a minute later, and the teams continued to share baskets down the stretch, as there were three ties and three lead changes over the final four minutes of regulation.

Down 75-73 with less than 10 seconds remaining, SVC's Kristin Myers drove to the hoop over two defenders for the attempt to tie.  She missed the shot, but teammate Jodie Vick got the offensive rebound and made the put back to tie it up at 75 just before the buzzer.

Carlow owned play in the overtime session, however, outscoring the hosts 16-9, thanks to an 11-12 showing from the charity stripe.  The Lady Bearcats were able to connect on just three out of sixteen shots from the field in the extra period, and Carlow was able to take home the American Mideast Conference North Division victory.

Connelly was joined by Myers (14 points), Vick (13), and Klimchock (12) in double-figures for the Lady Bearcats, while Vick was the team's leading rebounder with 11 for the double-double.

2/4 @ Notre Dame

The Lady Bearcats dropped a conference matchup to Notre Dame College (OH) on the road, 89-84.

The first-place Falcons opened up a 10-point lead (27-17) eleven minutes into the game, but Saint Vincent managed to cut the margin to seven, 40-33, at the half.

Ninety seconds into the second half, SVC cut the gap to just four, but Notre Dame then went on a 14-2 run over the next three minutes and the Lady Bearcats never fully recovered.

The lead was as high as 17 at the 11:55 mark of the second half, but the Lady Bearcats stormed back, dropping the lead to just four (86-82) after a Jodie Vick basket with just 1:20 remaining.  The Falcons, however, managed to hit their free throws late and hold off Saint Vincent.

Kristin Myers led SVC with 25 points in just 25 minutes of play.  Jodie Vick, Laura Klimchock and Christina Paolino each added 10 points, while Joann Walker scored 8.  Vick also grabbed 9 rebounds.

2/1 vs Seton Hill

The Seton Hill Griffins withstood a challenge from the Lady Bearcats to win a 69-68 overtime decision in Latrobe.

The Lady Bearcats, down by seven with less than five minutes to go in the second half, mounted a furious comeback, and a pair of Christina Paolino foul shots brought SVC to within three at the one-minute mark.  The Lady Bearcat defense then held the Griffins to a scoreless posession, and SVC's Kristin Myers hit a three-pointer with 25 seconds to go to tie the game up at 62.

The teams headed into overtime, with Seton Hill scoring the first three points of the extra session.  Myers then brought the Lady Bearcats to within one with 50 seconds to go.

On the next posession, the Griffins held the ball until 34 ticks left, when Elena Radenkovic missed a jumper.  SHU was able to get the offensive rebound, and 15 seconds later, Liz Martin air-balled a three pointer.  She was able to get her own rebound and beat the shot clock with a long jumper to make the score 67-64...or so it seemed.

Four seconds later, the Lady Bearcat's Maura Connelly nailed a three to tie it up at 67, forcing what appeared to be a second overtime.

After the Connelly bucket, however, the clock was stopped and the officials and coaches conferred at half court.  After a long stoppage, it was decided that Martin's jumper with eight seconds to go was indeed a three-pointer, and the score was changed to 68-67 in favor of the visitors.  They also were granted the ball.

Elena Radenkovic was fouled immediately, and made one of two double-bonus free throws.

With three seconds left in the overtime period, the Lady Bearcats were able to get posession, with Seton Hill comitting a foul on the floor.  SVC was only able to convert one of two free throws, however, with no time remaining, and Seton Hill escaped with the 69-68 victory.

The first half was much of the same for Saint Vincent, as they found themselves down by 11 with three minutes to go before the first intermission.  The Lady Bearcats then went on a 12-2 run to finish off the half, capped off by a Myers bucket at the buzzer, to take a 33-32 deficit into the break.  Seven of those 12 were scored by Paolino, who came off the bench to finish with 15 for the hosts.

Myers, who was honored before the contest for becoming the school's most recent inductee into the 1,000-point club, led all scorers with 30, and led the Lady Bearcats with eight rebounds.  The visitors were led by Lauren Wilmus' 18 points and Radenkovic's 15.  SHU's Kirsten Eberlein finished with a game-high 12 rebounds, as the visitors grabbed 50 boards on the night as opposed to the Lady Bearcats' 36.

1/28 vs Houghton

The Lady Bearcats improved to 7-5 in the American Mideast Conference with an easy victory over visiting Houghton College.

Eleven players contributed points, as SVC cruised to an 82-41 victory.

Kristin Myers topped all scorers with 12 points, while teammate Christina Paolino added 11.  Caryn Glassbrenner had her best game of the year, scoring 10 and grabbing 7 rebounds.  Lauren Reilly was the top Lady Bearcat on the boards, with 8 caroms.

Beth Barrows scored 11 points and 8 rebounds for Houghton (6-14, 3-9 AMC).

The Highlanders kept the game close for the first 11 minutes, with SVC holding a 13-10 lead.  The Lady Bearcats then took over, closing the half with a 20-6 run, then opening the first two-and-a-half minutes of the second frame by outscoring Houghton 11-2.

1/27 vs Roberts Wesleyan

The Saint Vincent Lady Bearcats earned a season split with the Roberts Wesleyan College Raiders, winning at home by a score of 69-62.

The game marked the return to the lineup of Laura Klimchock for SVC, who had missed most of January with a broken bone in her foot.

While Klimchock returned to the home team, the visitors were clearly missing their point guard, Christine Hunter, who sat out with an injury.

Roberts jumped to an early 8-7 lead, but a 12-point run by the Lady Bearcats gave them a lead they would never relinquish.  Roberts fought back and cut the margin to 34-31 at the half, but an 8-point run to begin the final half kept the visitors at bay.

Judy Wright, the leading scorer in the NAIA, scored 40 points on the night and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds, but failed to receive enough support from her teammates to get the victory.

Kristin Myers topped the Lady Bearcats with 25 points.  Freshman Christina Paolino added 15, while Klimchock scored 10 off the bench.

Maura Connelly scored 9 for SVC, and also contributed 6 steals.

1/21 @ Daemen

The Lady Bearcats appeared for a while to have a chance of ending Daemen College's 25-game home winning streak, but ultimately fell to the Lady Wildcats by a score of 65-61.

Saint Vincent played well throughout the first half, thanks to 17 points from senior Kristin Myers and solid defense by junior Maura Connelly.  SVC led by as many as 10 in the early going (18-8), but Daemen's Germany Jackson countered with 13 points of her own, almost single-handedly bringing the home team back into the game.  Still, SVC managed to take a 34-33 lead into the halftime break.

Daemen adjusted in the second half, taking away many of Myers' opportunities and took their first lead since the game's opening minutes, after a pair of Sarah Bogardus free throws a little over two minutes into the period gave them a 37-36 edge.

A drive to the hoop by freshman Ashley Campbell tied the game, 43-43, with 14:38 remaining, but it would prove to be the final time that Daemen failed to have the lead.  The hosts went on a 14-4 run over the next four and a half minutes, but SVC wasn't finished quite yet.

The Lady Bearcats clawed their way back into the game slowly, cutting a ten-point deficit down to four after a Myers drive with 4:35 remaining (61-57).  The game was evenly played until a Janelle Reed steal for Saint Vincent and subsequent foul shots by Kristin Myers cut the gap to two (63-61) with 24.3 seconds remaining.

However, Daemen's Allison Depp hit two key free throws, and Saint Vincent was unable to score in the game's closing seconds, for the 65-61 final tally.

Jackson led all scorers with 31 points, while Myers had 23 for SVC.  Depp was the game's top rebounder with 11 to go along with her 16 points.  Lauren Reilly grabbed 10 boards for SVC.  Connelly scored 10 points nad had five steals for SVC (9-11, 5-5 American Mideast Conference).

1/19 vs Geneva

A strong performance by senior guard Kristin Myers led Saint Vincent to an upset win over rival Geneva College, 73-62.

Myers pumped in 32 points, including five three-pointers to lead the Lady Bearcats (9-10, 5-4 American Mideast Conference).  She scored 20 in the first half, helping SVC take a 41-38 lead into the break.

Relentless defense earned SVC a total of 13 steals on the night, including six by freshman Christina Paolino, who also scored 8 points.  Saint Vincent also rebounded well, grabbing 36 boards to Geneva's 27 on the evening.  Myers was tops in that department as well, with 7.

1/17 vs Point Park

The Lady Bearcats cruised to an AMC North victory over Point Park on a career night for two freshmen.

Saint Vincent freshman Janelle Reed led SVC with 21 points, connecting on five of 10 three-point attempts, while classmate Lauren Reilly scored 20 and grabbed a career best and school record 19 rebounds.  Kristin Myers was the third Lady Bearcat in double-figures, scoring 14.

The game was never close, as Saint Vincent raced out to a 23-8 lead at the 10-minute mark and never looked back.  Point Park was only able to shoot 26.5 percent from the field in the first half as opposed to Saint Vincent's 47 percent, and the Lady Bearcat lead stood at 45-23 at the intermission.

Saint Vincent led by as many as 31 with just under seven minutes to go in the second when Reilly grabbed her 19th rebound and scored on the put back.

The Pioneers, who were forced to dress just five players due to injury, began to chip away at the lead, and used an 8-15 showing as a team from behind the three-point line to do so.

Point Park was led by forward Penny Kezmarsky, who scored a game-high 29 points and hit five of eight from beyond the three-point line.  Teammate Lashana Epperson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort.

1/14 vs Notre Dame

In a game that wasn't decided until the last second, the Lady Bearcats were beaten by Notre Dame College 64-62 at the Robert S. Carey Center.

Kristin Myers led all scorers with 18 points despite fouling out with seven minutes to go in the second half.  Jodie Vick scored eight for the Lady Bearcats, and led both sides with eight rebounds.

SVC started strong, taking a 33-29 advantage into the first intermission.  They opened their lead up to six (40-34) with 17:18 to go in regulation, but the visiting Falcons answered with a 12-0 run of their own, thanks in part to the work of center Jamie King, who scored nine of those 12 points, en-route to 17, all in the second half.

The Lady Bearcats went on a 13-4 run to make the score 61-60 after freshman Christina Paolino hit a foul shot with 1:30 to go, but a Kristy Wendolowski three-pointer from the corner for the Falcons put Falcons up by four.

With 30 seconds remaining and Notre Dame with the basketball, Lady Bearcat Joann Walker stripped Falcon guard Sarah Dia and found Janelle Reed for an easy lay up to bring the Bearcats to within two.  Reed then stole the ensuing inbounds, but was stripped by King.  The Falcon center was called for a travel immediately after, and SVC was once again awarded the ball.

Lauren Reilly was unable to get a clean shot off the inbounds, however, and the final second ticked off the clock.

In addition to King's 17, Wendolowski scored 15 while Dia had 11 for the Falcons.

1/13 vs Ursuline

The Saint Vincent Lady Bearcats improved their American Mideast Conference record to 3-3, defeating visiting Ursuline College 71-60.

Four Lady Bearcats scored in double figures, including Kristin Myers with 17, Christina Paolino with 14, Lauren Reilly with 12, and Jodie Vick with 11.  Reilly, a freshman, also grabbed 13 rebounds for the double-double.

The visitors were led by Lisa Piechowski's 16 points, while teammate Jessica Wood pulled down 15 boards.

The game was tied at the 11 minute mark in the first half, but the Lady Bearcats used a 14-2 run to go up by 10 with seven minutes remaining.  They increased the lead to 13 with two minutes left in the first, and took a 38-28 lead into half time.

Saint Vincent came out of the intermission on fire, increasing their lead to 22 (61-39) with 10:30 left in regulation.

The Arrows, however, would not go away, and the Lady Bearcats went cold from the charity stripe, connecting on just 24 percent (5-21) of their free-throws in the second half.  Ursuline pulled it to within six with 1:32 remaining, holding SVC scoreless for over four and a half minutes.

Myers and Vick were then able to connect on foul shots down the stretch, and SVC escaped with the 11-point victory.

1/10 @ Seton Hill

The Saint Vincent Lady Bearcats lost a conference game on the road in Greensburg to rival Seton Hill University by a score of 66-55.

SVC led 31-30 at the half thanks to strong shooting from Kristin Myers and good rebounding.  The game remained close through the early portion of the second half, and the teams were tied at 45 with 10:54 remaining.

The Lady Griffins then came alive thanks to the efforts of senior Denishia Salter, who keyed a seven-point run for SHU (6-10, 3-2 American Mideast Conference).  Saint Vincent never recovered, and Seton Hill went on to an eleven point victory.

Myers led SVC with 21 points, while Lauren Reilly and Jodie Vick shared top rebounding honors with 11.

2/14 @ Geneva

After dropping three of their last four games in overtime, the Saint Vincent Lady Bearcats were forced into the role of spoilers heading into Geneva College…and took the role to heart, winning by a score of 76-72.

After trailing throughout much of the first half, Saint Vincent responded in the second half to pull away and hold off the host Golden Tornadoes, who came into the night tied for third in the American Mideast Conference North Division.

SVC’s Kristin Myers scored the first points of the game, but it would be the only lead the Lady Bearcats would have in the opening 20 minutes.  Geneva worked the lead to as many as eight (32-24) thanks in part to four 3-pointers in the half by Ali Cananzi.  GC led at the half, 41-36.

Saint Vincent responded with an 8-2 run to open the second half, taking their first lead (46-45) at the 16:00 mark.  Geneva managed to briefly regain the lead (49-46), but strong play from the Lady Bearcat bench, including Joann Walker, Caryn Glassbrenner and Ashley Campbell, helped the visitors to pull away.

Myers scored 24 to lead the Lady Bearcats (8-9 AMC), followed by Laura Klimchock (14) and Jodie Vick (13).   Walker and Maura Connelly each scored 8.  Walker also grabbed seven rebounds in just 16 minutes of play.

2/11 vs Daemen

The Daemen Wildcats overcame a 10-point deficit in the game's final three minutes to send the game into overtime, then defeated Saint Vincent by ten, 76-66.

On Senior Night at the Carey Center, the Lady Bearcats were led by sophomore Laura Klimchock's 17 points, while a pair of seniors, Kristin Myers and Jodie Vick, also turned in fine performances.  Myers scored 15 while Vick recorded the double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the last game in which the two will play on the home court.

The Lady Bearcat defense was the story in the first half, as it forced 19 Wildcat turnovers en-route to a 28-26 halftime advantage.

Saint Vincent owned play throughout the majority of the second half, enjoying an eight-point lead twice and a 10-point advantage with just three minutes to go.  The Wildcats then showed why they were the first-place team in the American Mideast Conference, going on a 12-2 run to knot the score up at 62 at the end of regulation.

The Lady Bearcats were unable to gain any ground in the extra session, being out-scored by Daemen 14-4.  The only four tallies for the Lady Bearcats came from the hand of Klimchock, all at the free-throw line.
