Kristin was a basketball forward/center and volleyball middle hitter for four years in high school. She also played first base for the softball team her freshmen and sophomore years. She was co-captain of both the basketball and volleyball teams her senior year, received District Three honorable mention in volleyball in 2002 and was a member of the District Three All-Star team the same year. Kristin was a member of the District Three All-Academic Team in 2001 and '02, the same season in which she received the Team ìIn the Paintî award, and in 2003 she was a Wendyís High School Heisman Athlete Nominee. She also received the OHSAA Scholar Athlete Award, as well as the St. Vincent-St. Mary Chionchio Scholar Athlete Award.

The daughter of Dan and Margaret Darrow, she is an International Business major at SVC.
