The daughter of Rick and Rose Klimchock, Laura was a two-sport athlete at Greensburg Salem High School, participating in track as well as basketball.

She enjoyed a fine high school career, scoring 1,476 points and setting the Greensburg Salem record by scoring 45 points in one game. She also holds the state record for going 29-34 from the foul line in a single contest, good for second in the nation.

Laura was named a Tribune Review Player to Watch, the KDKA Student Athlete of the Week, a three-time All-Section selection, and was honored at both YMCA and Westmoreland County Scholar Athlete Banquets. She was a participant in the Pittsburgh Hoops Classic All Star Game as well as the Pennsylvania vs. Maryland High School All Star Game.

Laura is majoring in Spanish with a minor in Education at Saint Vincent.
