The daughter of Janet and Dennis McKamish, Melissa was a four-year member of the basketball team at Fox Chapel High School.

She participated in The Pittsburgh Hoop Classic and The Cager Classic last season, winning the three-point shootout at the latter event.

The French/Math major with a Secondary Education minor plans to go into teaching and coaching after graduating.
