The Lady Bearcats finished fourth among 10 teams in the Fisher Invitational, held at Westminster College. Laura Magnuson took 7th overall in the event, with a time of 20:14. Other top SVC finishers were Kelsey Sullivan (18th, 21:16), Jill Krupey (25th, 21:50), Amanda Connell (28th, 21:52), Lauren Ziegenfus (31st, 22:08) and Maria Shaffo (32nd, 22:11). Franciscan won the overall team event with 43 points, followed by Gannon (52), Penn State-Behrend (87), Saint Vincent (99), Alderson-Broaddus (130), Bethany (147), Wesminster (185), Hiram (207), Thiel (INC) and Pitt-Bradford (INC). For the second straight week, the Lady Bearcats finished fourth among 10 teams, this time in the California University of PA Invitational. Laura Magnuson was once again SVC's top finisher, taking 8th place out of 104 runners with a time of 20:40 in the 5K event. Freshman Jillian Krupey finished 17th with a time of 21:31, while Amanda Connell was 23rd (21:59). The Lady Bearcats' other top runners were Kelsey Sullivan (27th, 22:10), Maria Shaffo (37th, 22:42), Brittany Fidazzo (39th, 22:47) and Kelly Cunningham (43rd, 23:09). Grove City College took top team honors with a score of 30 points, followed by Clarion University (40), Waynesburg (91), SVC (95), Mercyhurst (117), Westminster (172), Pitt-Greensburg (219) and Hiram (229). Cal U and Point Park had incomplete scores.

The Lady Bearcats participated in the National Catholic Cross Country
Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.
Saint Vincent took 26th overall out of 37 teams and finished 17th out of 26
teams in the small college division.
Laura Magnuson led the SVC women
with a time of 19:38, good for 63rd overall and 22nd among small college
runners. Jillian Krupey finished 146th overall with a time of 20:52, Amanda
Connell 153rd in 20:56, and Kelsey Sullivan 157th with a 20:57.
Krupey's
time was good for 86th in the small college division, Connell's 92nd, and
Sullivan's 94th. A total of 306 women competed, including 218 in the small
college classification.
Notre Dame took the overall team title, while
Bellarmine captured the team championship in the small college
division.
The Lady Bearcats are back in action on Saturday, hosting the
Saint Vincent College Invitational.

The Lady Bearcats finished fourth in the Saint Vincent College Invitational, which was captured by Franciscan University. Franciscan won the team event with a score of 29. Seton Hill was second (75), followed by Waynesburg (89), Saint Vincent (95), Clarion (111), California University of PA (153), Westminster (187), Fairmont State (208), Pitt-Greensburg (279), Davis & Elkins (296), Point Park (299), Pitt-Johnstown (INC) and Frosburg State (INC). SVC was led by Laura Magnuson, who finished second overall in 19:57. The Lady Bearcats finished in 8th place out of 12 teams, led by an 8th place finish in the 6K by Laura Magnuson, at the Dickinson College Invitational. Two seperate races were run at the meet, a 4K and a 6K. In the short course race, SVC finished 14th as a team. Kathy Stodola was the top Lady Bearcat finisher, completing the course in 17:04, good for 73rd out of 170 runners. Teammate Kelly Cunningham finished in 87th place with a time of 17:30. In the long race, Magnuson was the eighth runner of 107 to cross the finish line with a time of 24:41. For finishing in the top 15, the senior earned medalist honors.
Kelsey Sullivan finished in 35th place with a time of 26:14, while Amanda Connell took 61st with a 27:08.
After the scores from both races were combined, the Lady Bearcats earned an eighth place finish out of the 12 teams that ran both races.

The Lady Bearcats finished a strong sixth out of 16 teams in the Gettysburg Invitational, with Laura Magnuson earning a medal with a top-15 finish. Dickinson College won the event with a score of 37, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (60), Grove City (63), host Gettysburg (83), Shippensburg (132) and Saint Vincent (188). Johns Hopkins (193), Alderson-Broaddus (229), Southern Virginia (287), and Eastern Mennonite (309) rounded out the top 10 among 16 teams that competed. Laura Magnuson finished 13th overall in the 6K event, timed in 23:52. Saint Vincent's other top runners were Kelsey Sullivan (49th, 25:13), Emma Goetz (50th, 25:14), Amanda Connell (52nd, 25:19), Katherine Stodola (70th, 26:02) and Lauren Ziegenfus (78th, 26:21). A total of 153 runners competed in the event.

The Lady Bearcats hosted the Presidents' Athletic Conference championship meet, taking third place. Laura Magnuson was the top finisher for SVC, taking seventh place with a time of 24:08. For her performance, she received PAC Coaches' Honors, the equivalent of All-Conference for NCAA Division-III provisional schools. Following Magnuson, the next six SVC runners finished tightly. Katherine Stodola took 20th overall (25:06), Emma Goetz 21st (25:08), Kelsey Sullivan 24th (25:39), Amanda Connell 25th (25:44), Lauren Ziegenfus 26th (25:48), and Kelly Cunningham 28th (25:59). A total of 79 women ran in the event, which was won by Grove City's Kristen Carter with a time of 22:52. Grove City took the overall team title, followed by Geneva, SVC, Waynesburg, Washington & Jefferson, Westminster, and Bethany. The Lady Bearcats finished the 2007 season with a 14th-place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships held in Williamstown, Massachussets.
Senior Laura Magnuson led the SVC runners, finishing in 16th place out of 242 runners with a time of 23:39. Katherine Stodola finished in 71st, with a time of 25:26, followed by Laura Ziegenfus (96th place), Amanda Connell (99th), Emma Goetz (104th), Kelly Cunningham (118th), and Tausha Varner (144th).
A total of 31 teams competed, with Williams College, the host school, capturing the team title. Amherst came in second, and Middlebury third. The Lady Bearcats finished with a score of 386.
