The Lady Bearcats earned a second place team finish at the 2009 Presidents' Athletic Conference championships, held at Saint Vincent. The Lady Bearcats finished with a team score of 75, and were led by sophomore Ivette Mejia, who finished third individually, with a time of 23:46 on the 6K course. Mejia was one of three SVC runners to earn PAC Coaches Honors, the equivalent of All-PAC accolades and given to runners who finished in the top 14 individually. Joining Mejia were junior Emma Goetz, who took eighth place with a time of 24:42, and senior Katie Macioce, who finished 14th in 25:27. For Mejia and Macioce, it was the second consecutive year in which they received the all-conference recognition. Rounding out the other top Lady Bearcat finishers, Kelsey Sullivan took 16th (25:39), Crystal Sherlock 34th (27:11), Rebecca Leonard 38th (27:26), and Brenda Hartman 40th (27:40). Grove City College earned the overall team title for an unprecendented 21st consecutive season. The Wolverines finished with a team score of 20, led by individual champion Sarah Fisher, who took first with a time of 23:24. Fisher's teammate, Ella Smith, finished a split-second behind, taking second. Following Grove City and SVC, Westminster finished third as a team with 84 points, Geneva fourth (110), Thomas More fifth (146), Bethany sixth (171), Waynesburg seventh (177), Chatham eighth (225), and Washington & Jefferson and Thiel, who tied for ninth with a score of 238.
