The visiting Seton Hill Griffins scored three unanswered goals in the second half to defeat the Lady Bearcats 3-1 on the SVC Turf.

Much of the opening half was a defensive struggle played in the middle third of the field, as neither squad was able to put together any sustained drives on offense.

With eight minutes left in the half, the Lady Bearcats were able to get the ball deep into Seton Hill territory.  After a scrum in front of the net, Ashley Williams pushed the ball onto the doorstep, where Sam Larkin knocked it into the net to give SVC the 1-0 lead with her fifth goal of the season.

After a time out, Seton Hill then went on the offensive in the latter stages of the first half.  The Griffins put three shots on Lady Bearcat goalie Bridget Harner, who turned them all aside.  Seton Hill was also granted three penalty corners in the final moments of the half, but the SVC defense held, and the game went into the intermission with the Lady Bearcats maintaining the 1-0 lead.

The visitors were able to tie the game five minutes into the second stanza, when Lynette Mhangami scored from right in front.

The Lady Bearcats looked to counter, again pushing the ball deep into SHU territory, but Larkin was denied twice at close range, and SVC was unable to cash in on a pair of corners in the 48th minute.

Seton Hill countered quickly, taking the 2-1 lead with 17 minutes left on a goal by Allegra Ramos.  The Griffins continued to press, tallying the game's next four shots, before Ramos scored her second of the day, off of a scramble in front, to give the visitors some insurance with 11 minutes left to play.

The Lady Bearcats were unable to mount a comeback attempt, as the Seton Hill defense thwarted any SVC scoring attempts, allowing the Griffins to leave Latrobe with the 3-1 comeback win.

For the game, the visitors out-shot the Lady Bearcats 18-4, with SVC goalie Bridget Harner finishing with eight saves in the losing effort.

Saint Vincent (5-10) will look to end its three-game losing skid this weekend, taking part in a two-day tournament hosted by Wilson College, beginning Saturday at 11am in Chambersburg, PA.
