The Lady Bearcats wrapped up their two-day road swing through upstate New York with a 2-1 loss to Morrisville State. Maria Wohar scored the lone goal for the Lady Bearcats, her second goal in as many games. Saint Vincent started strong in the first half, tallying the game's first five shots, but Morrisville State was able to score the first goal of the contest, on a tip-in off of a penalty corner with 10 minutes left in the first half. The Lady Bearcats then responded, with Wohar knocking in a loose ball in front of the cage with just over two minutes left in the opening stanza to tie it up at 1-1. The score remained deadlocked for the next 30 minutes, until Morrisville took the 2-1 lead on a penalty stroke with 10 minutes left in the second half. SVC looked to battle back, with four shots over the next five minutes, but Morrisville goalie Kelsey Pellegrino was strong, denying them all and allowing the hosts to hold off the Lady Bearcats down the stretch for the 2-1 win. The two teams were deadlocked in shots, with 14 apiece, as Pelegrino and SVC goalie Jackie Novak both recorded six saves on the day. The Lady Bearcats had an 11-9 advantage in penalty corners, including a 10-5 margin over the second half. With the defeat, SVC's record falls to 5-7 on the season. The team returns to action on Wednesday night, traveling to Washington & Jefferson College for a 7pm contest under the lights.
