The Lady Bearcats defeated Sweet Briar College 3-1 in the second day of the Bridgewater College Invitational Tournament.

After a scoreless first half, the Lady Bearcats' Ashley Williams gave SVC the lead with a goal four minutes into the second frame, assisted by Lauren Scheloske.

Sweet Briar tied it up with a goal with just under 20 minutes remaining in regulation, but the Lady Bearcats countered, as Williams scored her second goal of the day, assisted by Rachel Hill, with eight minutes left to play.

Just two minutes later, Hill gave the Lady Bearcats some insurance with her second goal of the season, assisted by Sam Larkin, to close out the day's scoring.

For the game, Saint Vincent out-shot Sweet Briar 18-4.  Bridget Harner earned the win in goal for the Lady Bearcats (3-3), finishing with two saves.

The Lady Bearcats will return to action next Saturday, hosting Hood College in a Homecoming Day matchup on the Saint Vincent turf beginning at 4:30.
