Despite freezing conditions, the Lady Bearcats were able to defeat visiting Indiana University of PA, 12-8, to open up the season.

SVC opened up an early lead, taking an 8-6 advantage into half time, and then outscored IUP 4-2 over the second frame.  The game was called with 12 minutes remaining in the second half due to freezing rain and treacherous field conditions, but was deemed official by the referees.

Laura Fedor and Lauren Eller both scored three times on the afternoon for SVC, while Jenna Moon, Meredith Ruffing, and Sarah Peranteau picked up a pair of goals apiece.  Moon also added an assist.

3/24 - Lancaster

The Lady Bearcats scored 25 goals en route to a big win over Lancaster Bible College on the road.

SVC took a 15-2 lead in the first half and went on to win by a score of 25-3.

Meredith Ruffing led the offense with 5 goals and a pair of assists.  Laura Fedor, Jenna Moon and Brittany Concepcion each scored three times.

Bethany Evans and Sarah Peranteau each tallied two goals, while Cassie Alberding, Lauren Eller, Lauren Martino, Megan Sekinger, Lauren Jones, Ashton Mancuso and Kristen Blackburn each scored once.

Peranteau and Moon joined Ruffing with 7 points on the day.  Peranteau recorded five assists while Moon had four.  Alberding assisted on three goals, while Evans and Sekinger had two assists each.  Eller, Fedor and Jones each recorded one assist.

Candy Decker saved 50% of the shots she faced in the first half, while Erica Lisi also posted a 50% save percentage in the second.

3/28 - Frostburg State

The Lady Bearcats were handed their first loss of the season, dropping a 17-12 decision at Frostburg State (MD).

Lauren Eller scored five goals in the losing cause, while Laura Fedor scored three times and Meredith Ruffing and Jenna Moon twice apiece.  Moon and Fedor each tallied assists, while Erica Lisi stopped 47 percent of the shots she faced in goal.

3/31 - Kenyon

Senior Jenna Moon scored her 100th career goal as the Lady Bearcats came from behind to defeat Kenyon College by a score of 11-10.

Both teams battled evenly throughout much of the first half, before two late goals put Kenyon up 6-4 at the half.

SVC got off to a fast start in the second half, with Moon (2) and Meredith Ruffing scoring in the first five minutes to give SVC a 7-6 lead.  Kenyon again fought back, and the game was tied 8-8 until there was less than 14 minutes remaining.

A Lauren Eller goal with 13:55 remaining put SVC up to stay, 9-8, but Kenyon refused to go away.  With 12:55 to go, Moon took a left-handed shot (PHOTO) and scored her 100th career goal, giving SVC a two-goal lead (10-8).  Five minutes later, Kenyon's Jess Little cut the margin to one, but Moon answered with her fifth goal of the game with 5:35 remaining to make it 11-9.  Just eleven seconds later, Kenyon's Amanda Drummond scored to make it 11-10, but the Bearcat offense managed to control the ball much of the game's final five minutes to seal the victory.

SVC then scored the next nine goals unanswered, with three coming from Laura Fedor, to go up 10-1.  Moon assisted on four of the nine tallies.

The Lady Bearcats picked up right where they left off to start the second half, with Moon scoring twice within the first five minutes to give SVC a nine-goal advantage.

SVC enjoyed its largest lead of the game, 20-5, with just over 10 minutes left in the second half when Moon scored her fifth goal of the afternoon, assisted by Lauren Eller.

The Lady Bearcats jumped out to a big early lead and coasted the rest of the way, defeating Dominican College 21-4 on Senior Day.

In its final home contest of the year, SVC struck quickly, taking a 5-0 lead on a Sarah Peranteau goal just four minutes in.  The lead continued to grow, as Lauren Eller's third goal of the half, with 30 seconds left, gave the hosts a 14-0 lead heading into the intermission.  Teammate Jenna Moon scored four goals over the first 30 minutes, while Peranteau scored twice in the first half.

Cassie Alberding and Megan Sekinger each scored to open the second half, pushing the SVC advantage to 16-0.

Dominican then scored three unanswered goals, two by Althea Chambers and one by Ashley Ordemann, to make the score 16-3 with 20 minutes remaining in play, but SVC ended by scoring five of the next six goals, with two more coming from Eller, to pick up the big win.
