Eleven different players scored at least one goal, as the Lady Bearcats opened up the 2008 regular season with a 20-2 win over visiting Lancaster Bible College. Sarah Peranteau and Kelly Naugle led the SVC scoring attack, scoring three goals apiece. Cassie Alberding, Lauren Martino, Lauren Eller, Brittany Concepcion, and Erika Haggerty all scored twice, while Megan Sekinger, Lauren Jones, Sarah Kozusko, and Michelle Moss rounded out the Lady Bearcat goal scorers. Concepcion added a pair of assists, while Eller, Jones, Moss, Kaytie Russo, Samantha Larkin, Ashley Williams, and Liz Louison-Basile all had one assist. While the SVC offense shined, the Lady Bearcat defense was also solid throughout, allowing just five Charger shots for the entire game. Erica Lisi played the first 30 minutes in goal, while Meghan Reiser and Megan Vargo split the second half in the net. The Chargers broke up the Lady Bearcat shut out bid with a pair of goals late in the second half.

The Lady Bearcats cruised to a 19-5 victory over visiting Tri State University. Freshman Liz Louison-Basile's 4-goal performance led the offense, while Sarah Peranteau and Lauren Eller added three goals each for SVC. Louison-Basile's first goal of the game put SVC ahead 1-0 less than 2 minutes into the first half. Erika Haggerty added a goal three minutes later, then Louison-Basile assisted on Peranteau's first goal just 27 seconds later. Peranteau scored again just over a minute later to make it 4-0. After a Tri State goal cut the gap to 4-1, Eller scored her first goal of the game and SVC began to draw away, eventually opening the lead to 12-1 at the end of the half in support of Erica Lisi, who played the first 30 minutes and recorded 3 saves. SVC continued to pull away throughout the second half en route to a 19-5 victory. Also scoring goals for SVC were Cassie Alberding, Brittany Concepcion, Lauren Jones (2), Michelle Moss, Kelly Naugle, Mary Ellen Levin and Megan Sekinger. Assists were tallied by Eller, Peranteau, Moss, Emily Fedor and Kaitlyn Rauchut.

The Lady Bearcats remained undefeated through three games on the season, breezing to a 15-1 victory over visiting Waynesburg University. Lauren Jones scored the game-winner just 47 seconds into play off an assist from Liz Louison. A minute and a half later, Louison set up Sarah Peranteau. Louison was the star early in the game, scoring a goal of her own just three minutes in, then assisting on a Cassie Alberding goal 30 seconds later. Alberding made it 5-0 just over a minute later, and the Lady Bearcats never looked back. Erica Lisi was the winning goalie, recording 2 saves and shutting Waynesburg out in the first half. Megan Reiser and Megan Vargo split goalkeeping duties in the second half. Louison led the offense with 3 goals and 3 assists. Peranteau added 4 goals and one assist, while Alberding had 3 goals. Lauren Eller had a pair of goals. Also scoring goals for SVC were Megan Sekinger and Kelly Naugle. Assists were recorded by Sekinger, Naugle, Ashley Williams and Judy Spelz.

The Lady Bearcats lost on the road to Notre Dame College (OH) by a score of
14-4.
SVC fell behind 6-0 in the first 14 minutes of the game, before Megan
Sekinger scored on a free-position shot to get the visitors on the board.
However, the Lady Bearcats were unable to rally, and were down 9-1 at the
half.
Liz Louison scored three unassisted goals in the second half, but SVC was
otherwise kept off the board, and the team fell to 3-1 on the season.

The Lady Bearcats fell short in their rally against Kenyon on the road, losing by a score of 16-9. Kenyon
jumped to the early 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game, but
Liz Louison tied the game just 30 seconds later. The Lady Bearcats
then took their only lead of the game, 2-1, after a Lauren Jones goal
at the 23:24 mark of the first half. The rest of the half
belonged to Kenyon, as the hosts built a 13-3 lead. However, the
momentum started to change as Louison scored her third goal of the half
with just two seconds left on the clock to make it 13-4 at the break. Lauren
Eller, Louison and Kelly Naugle scored early in the second half to cut
the gap to 13-7, then Eller added another pair of goals to make it 13-9
with just over 11 minutes remaining. Kenyon then managed to regain
control, shut down the SVC offense, and add three late goals to secure
the 16-9 win. For the day, Kenyon outshot SVC by a 39-30 margin, and Erica Lisi recorded 14 saves for the Lady Bearcats (3-2).

The Lady Bearcats snapped their two game losing streak with a 16-12 win over
visiting Washington & Jefferson.
Lauren Eller scored five goals while adding two assists to lead SVC, while
Liz Louison scored four times and Megan Sekinger and Cassie Alberding each had a
pair of goals.
The Lady Bearcats started strong, taking a 4-0 lead just 10 minutes into
play, on two goals by Louison and one each from Eller and Sekinger.
The Presidents' Nikki Lu put W&J on the scoreboard with 18:30 left in the
half, but Eller and Brittany Concepcion scored within the next five minutes to
push SVC's lead to 6-1.
After another W&J goal, SVC's Michelle Moss went coast-to-coast to score,
putting the Lady Bearcats ahead 7-2. Eller scored two more times in the
half, and Alberding netted her first, and the Lady Bearcats led 10-5 at
halftime.
The Lady Bearcats continued to build onto the lead in the opening stages of
the second half, as Sekinger, Sarah Peranteau, and Alberding scored in the first
12 minutes to give the hosts a 13-6 lead with just under 18 minutes
remaining.
Louison and Lu then each scored twice over the next 10 minutes, and the Lady
Bearcats led 15-8 with eight minutes left. W&J ended with a flurry,
outscoring SVC 4-1 over the final seven minutes, but their early deficit was too
much for the Presidents to overcome, and the Lady Bearcats earned the win.
Louison also assisted on a goal, ending up with a five-point day, while
Peranteau and Erika Haggerty also added helpers for the Lady Bearcats. Erika Lisi went the distance in goal to earn the win.

The Lady Bearcats defeated visiting Frostburg State University by a score of
14-6.
Megan Sekinger and Liz Louison each scored four goals for Saint Vincent,
while Lauren Eller added three, and the Lady Bearcat defense limited the Bobcats
to just 14 shots.
Eller put SVC on the scoreboard just 50 seconds into play, and Louison then
gave the Lady Bearcats a 2-0 lead two minutes later.
SVC's lead grew to 4-0, on Sekinger's first goal of the afternoon, at the
19-minute mark, before a Frostburg St. time out.
The Bobcats then scored two quick goals, before SVC anwered right back, with
Lauren Jones scoring once and Louison twice over the final seven minutes of the
half. The Lady Bearcats took a 7-3 lead into halftime.
Louison, Eller, and Sekinger all scored in the first six minutes of the
second half, and the Lady Bearcat advantage grew to 10-3.
After the teams then traded goals, Eller and Sekinger each scored their
third within two minutes of each other, putting SVC up 13-5 with 7:39 left to
play.
The Bobcats scored their final tally with 6:30 to go, before Sekinger ended
the afternoon's scoring with her fourth goal making the score 14-6 SVC with just
under five minutes left.
SVC's Kelly Naugle added a goal and an assist, while Sarah Peranteau also
scored for the Lady Bearcats. Eller recorded two assists on the afternoon,
while Cassie Alberding tallied one helper.
Erica Lisi made eight saves in goal for the Lady Bearcats.

Behind eight points from Lauren Eller, the Lady Bearcats defeated visiting
Fontbonne University 15-7.
Eller scored five goals and added three assists, while teammate Liz Louison
scored three goals and Sarah Peranteau, Megan Sekinger and Cassie Alberding two
apiece.
Eller put Saint Vincent on the board with a goal just two minutes into play,
and then assisted on goals by Peranteau and Alberding, putting the Lady Bearcats
up 3-0 just five minutes into play.
The visiting Griffins then scored a pair of quick goals, before the Lady
Bearcats answered with a flurry. Eller scored her second of the day with 15
minutes to go, and then Louison and Peranteau found the back of the net within
the next two minutes to give SVC a 6-2 lead.
Eller then notched the hat trick with 8:30 to go, putting SVC up 7-2, and
Sekinger scored her first goal of the game three minutes later. Fontbonne's
Danielle Donze ended the scoring for the first half, and the Lady Bearcats took
an 8-3 lead into halftime.
SVC started the second half in the same fashion as they did the first, with
Kelly Naugle scoring off of an assist from Peranteau just 40 seconds into play,
giving the Lady Bearcats a 9-3 advantage. SVC then went up 11-3 after Eller
scored two goals in a span of 90 seconds.
Neither team then found the net for 12 minutes before Fontbonne's Emily
Spalding scored with 15:13 left to play, but SVC again answered in a big
way.
Sekinger's second goal made it 12-4 with 14:54 left to go before Alberding's
second was sandwiched between a pair of Louison scores, giving the Lady Bearcats
their largest lead of the day, 15-4, with 12 minutes left in regulation.
Fontbonne then posted a late rally, with Katie Radeackar scoring twice and
Emily Schallenberg once, but it wasn't enough, and the Lady Bearcats earned the
win.
SVC's defense was also strong, allowing just 14 shots on goal over
the 60 minutes. Starting Lady Bearcat goalie Erica Lisi earned the win, making
seven saves.

squad.
Lauren Eller led the SVC with two goals, while Megan Sekinger, Liz Louison,
and Sarah Peranteau all scored once.
Ericia Lisi played goal for the Lady Bearcats and was strong, posting 14
saves.

The Lady Bearcats played well, but lost a road matchup against the College of
Wooster by a score of 15-10.
SVC scored first, then later took a 3-1 lead in the first half before Wooster
took control. The hosts eventually took a 9-5 lead into the halftime break.
Liz Louison scored just 14 seconds into the second half to start a comeback
for SVC, but Wooster was able to come back and complete the victory.
Louison led the attack for SVC with five goals. Lauren Eller added three and
Sarah Peranteau scored twice for Saint Vincent (6-4).

The Lady Bearcats nearly pulled off an upset against top Northeast Conference
team Ohio Wesleyan, falling 17-14.
SVC held the early 5-2 advantage, but OWU fought back to take an 11-8 lead
into the halftime break. The Lady Bearcats then played OWU evenly in the second
half, with each team scoring six goals.
SVC's Lauren Eller had an 8-point day, with four goals and four assists.
Sarah Peranteau also had four goals, while Cassie Alberding scored three times
and Liz Louison had two goals. Megan Sekinger had a goal and two assists for
SVC (6-5).
Erica Lisi had a 41% save percentage and took the loss in the net.

Lauren Eller scored 7 goals as SVC defeated crosstown rival Seton Hill
University by a score of 15-10.
SVC opened up a 9-4 lead in the first half and went on to their seventh
victory of the year.
Other goal scorers for the Lady Bearcats were Liz Louison (3), Cassie
Alberding (2), Sarah Peranteau (2) and Megan Sekinger (1). Assists were recorded by Louison, Peranteau and Kelly Naugle.
Erica Lisi picked up the victory, posting 9 saves in the net.
