The Lady Bearcats fell short in their rally against Kenyon on the road, losing by a score of 16-9. Kenyon jumped to the early 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game, but Liz Louison tied the game just 30 seconds later. The Lady Bearcats then took their only lead of the game, 2-1, after a Lauren Jones goal at the 23:24 mark of the first half. The rest of the half belonged to Kenyon, as the hosts built a 13-3 lead. However, the momentum started to change as Louison scored her third goal of the half with just two seconds left on the clock to make it 13-4 at the break. Lauren Eller, Louison and Kelly Naugle scored early in the second half to cut the gap to 13-7, then Eller added another pair of goals to make it 13-9 with just over 11 minutes remaining. Kenyon then managed to regain control, shut down the SVC offense, and add three late goals to secure the 16-9 win. For the day, Kenyon outshot SVC by a 39-30 margin, and Erica Lisi recorded 14 saves for the Lady Bearcats (3-2). SVC will be back in action on Tuesday, hosting Washington & Jefferson College at 4PM.
