The Lady Bearcats cruised to a 19-5 victory over visiting Tri State University. Freshman Liz Louison-Basile's 4-goal performance led the offense, while Sarah Peranteau and Lauren Eller added three goals each for SVC. Louison-Basile's first goal of the game put SVC ahead 1-0 less than 2 minutes into the first half. Erika Haggerty added a goal three minutes later, then Louison-Basile assisted on Peranteau's first goal just 27 seconds later. Peranteau scored again just over a minute later to make it 4-0. After a Tri State goal cut the gap to 4-1, Eller scored her first goal of the game and SVC began to draw away, eventually opening the lead to 12-1 at the end of the half in support of Erica Lisi, who played the first 30 minutes and recorded 3 saves. SVC continued to pull away throughout the second half en route to a 19-5 victory. Also scoring goals for SVC were Cassie Alberding, Brittany Concepcion, Lauren Jones (2), Michelle Moss, Kelly Naugle, Mary Ellen Levin and Megan Sekinger. Assists were tallied by Eller, Peranteau, Moss, Emily Fedor and Kaitlyn Rauchut. The Lady Bearcats are now 2-0 this season, and will host Waynesburg University at 4PM on Tuesday.
