The Lady Bearcats were defeated in overtime, 6-5, by York College. Sarah Peranteau led the SVC offense with two goals and an assist, while Liz Louison-Basile, Lauren Martino, and Ashton Mancuso also added goals for the Lady Bearcats. Basile-Louison and Mancuso also had assists to finish with two-point days. Peranteau, Mancuso, and Martino all scored in the first 15 minutes of play to give the Lady Bearcats a quick 3-1 lead. After York scored with 11 minutes left in the half, Basile-Louison made it 4-2, off an assist from Mancuso, with 8:51 left in the first half. York made it 4-3 two minutes later, and the Lady Bearcats entered the intermission up by one. Peranteau's second goal of the day, assisted by Naugle, gave SVC the 5-3 advantage just three minutes into the second half, but York was again able to come back, tying the game up with two goals in a four minute span midway through the half. The game remained deadlocked through the end of the second frame, and headed into overtime. Neither team was able to find the net in the opening stages of the extra session, until York's Megan Foy scored the game-winner with just 15 seconds left in the first overtime. Erica Lisi made nine saves in goal in the losing effort, while also picking up a game-high six ground balls. Pereanteau added four ground balls and forced three turnovers. With the loss, SVC's record drops to 2-5 on the season. The Lady Bearcats will now have an eight-day layoff before returning to action next Wednesday, when they travel to Waynesburg University for a 5pm contest.
