The Lady Bearcats scored seven unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes to secure a 12-7 win over crosstown rival Seton Hill University.

Seton Hill led 7-5 after a Stephanie Lazzaro goal with 15:21 left in the second half, but the Lady Bearcats stepped up and kept the visitors off the board while finding the net seven times to earn their first win of the season.

SVC got off to a strong start, with Sarah Peranteau scoring just over a minute into play.  Lauren Martino added a goal 12 minutes later, and the lead was 2-0 thanks to strong Saint Vincent defense.

However, Seton Hill's Elyse Branam scored two goals just 42 seconds apart to tie the game with 12 minutes left in the first half.   The Griffins then took their first lead of the game five minutes later after a Desiree Palmer goal.  With just under five minutes remaining in the half, Kelly Naugle scored to tie the game at three, but Seton Hill managed to score just 30 seconds later and took a 4-3 lead into the half.

SVC's Liz Louison scored her first goal of the game just over a minute into the second half, but the next two goals belonged to the Griffins, who took a 6-4 lead with 21:32 left.  Anne Roslonski scored for Saint Vincent less than 30 seconds later, but the Griffins responded with Lazzaro's goal to once again make it a two-goal game, 7-5.

Michelle Moss started the comeback for Saint Vincent at the 14:24 mark, then Louison took control, scoring the game's next four goals over a 5-minute span to put SVC ahead 11-7.  Martino's second goal of the day at the 5:59 mark ended the scoring.

Megan Vargo, who took over after Seton Hill's final goal of the day, earned the win in the net for the Lady Bearcats (1-2).

Seton Hill drops to 2-7 on the season with the loss.

Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday at Indiana University of PA.  Game time is 4PM.
