The Lady Bearcats suffered a 2-0 defeat under the lights at Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Westminster College. The host Titans got on the board early in the first half, with Sarah Nee sending home an unassisted tally in the sixth minute. The two team's defenses then took over, with SVC and Westminster managing just three shots apiece over the first half, and the score remained 1-0 heading into the intermission. In the second half, Westminster wasted little time in gaining some insurance, with Danielle Struble scoring an unassisted tally just 66 seconds into play. The Titan offense continued to press, but the hosts were unable to add onto their lead, with SVC goalie Kirstie Mills making eight of her nine saves over a second half in which Westminster took a total of 13 shot attempts. Conversely, the Lady Bearcat offensive attack struggled on the evening, taking just two shots over the final 45 minutes, with Titan goalie Jen Cantella earning the shutout win. SVC will now have a six-day layoff before returning to action on Sunday afternoon, when the Lady Bearcats will play host to Washington & Jefferson College beginning at 1pm on the SVC Turf.
