Michelle Stepien scored twice as the Lady Bearcats defeated Waynesburg University by a score of 2-1.

The teams played to a scoreless tie at the half, but Stepien took a pass from Alex Shasko and scored to make it 1-0 just over five minutes into the second half.

Just under 30 minutes later, SVC lined up for a corner kick, and Logan Gamelier sent the ball into the box, where Stepien headed it into the net for a 2-0 lead.

Waynesburg added a goal with seven minutes left, but it wasn't enough, as SVC keeper Kirstie Mills saved five shots en route to the win.

Saint Vincent is now 2-10 on the season, and will host Thiel College on Friday afternoon in Latrobe.
