The Lady Bearcats suffered a 6-0 road loss at Grove City College. The Wolverines mounted a strong offensive attack throughout the game, scoring three goals in each half and out-shooting SVC 33-5 for the game. After the Lady Bearcats controlled the ball in the early stages of the game, posting a corner and a shot in the first five minutes, the Wolverines got on the scoreboard in the 11th minute on a goal by Emily Ostlund. Grove City made the lead 2-0 on a goal from Elise Bender, before the Wolverines' Arielle Goyzueta found the net with just 1:25 remaining in the half to send the game into the intermission with the hosts up 3-0. The Wolverines continued to add onto the lead in the second half, scoring goals in the 51st, 63rd, and 71st minutes to seal the 6-0 win. Despite the defeat, SVC goalie Kirstie Mills was strong, making 11 saves, the sixth time on the season in which she stopped at least 10 shots. The Lady Bearcats (3-14) will return to action on Saturday afternoon, hosting a Senior Day contest with Geneva College beginning at 1pm on the Bearcat Turf.
