11/3 - PSU-Altoona

The Lady Bearcats opened the season with a close loss to Penn State-Altoona.  The final score was 121-108.

Amanda Haile earned first place finishes in the 100 and 200 Freestyle, while Karli Buday took top honors in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke.  Olivia Cinberg was also a two-time individual winner, capturing the 100 and 200 Fly.

The team of Cinberg, Katie Bittner, Sarah Denning and Haile also won the 400 Free Relay.

11/10 - PSU-Behrend

Penn State-Behrend defeated SVC in a match held in Erie, 111-99.

SVC scored a first place finish in the 200 Medley Relay, with the team of Karli Buday, Anna Conlin, Sarah Denning and Molly Michael winning with a time of 2:13.32.  Buday also took first in the 100 Backstroke, timed in 1:10.55. 

Katie Bittner finished a strong second in the 1000 Free with a time of 12:07.46, losing by just two-tenths of a second.  In the 500 Free, Amanda Haile finished second with a time of 5:51.08, outlasting the third place finisher by just a half-second.

11/16 - Grove City

The Lady Bearcats lost to Grove City in the home opener.

Olivia Cinberg earned a pair of victories in the 100 Fly and the 200 backstroke, while Amanda Haile was second in the 200 Free.

11/17 - Mt Union/Chatham

The Lady Bearcats dropped a tri-match against Mount Union and Chatham.

Against Mount Union, SVC lost 116-20, while falling to Chatham by a score of 108-19. Karli Buday finished second in the 200 Breaststroke for SVC in the tri-match.

11/29 - Wooster

The Lady Bearcats finished 9th among 11 teams in the Wooster Invitational, and set four school records in the process.

It was the best finish ever for Saint Vincent at the winter invitational, held at the Ellen Shapiro Natatorium. 

The team was led by freshman Amanda Haile who broke two school records,  placing 17th in the 500 Free and 13th in the 200 Free.  She also finished 24th in the 100 Free.  Haile teamed up with Olivia Cinberg, Katie Bittner and Sarah Denning for new school records in the 800 Free and 400 Free relays which each finished the weekend in 14th place.

 

Other top individual performances included Bittner in the 500 Free, placing 20th and 1650 free, where she placed 12th.  Karli Buday finished 24th in both the 100 and 200 Breastroke events and Cinberg finished ninth in the 100 Butterfly for the highest individual finish for the women.

1/19 - Bethany

The Lady Bearcats lost to Bethany College on the road, 134-112.

The 200 Medley relay team of Karli Buday, Anna Conlin, Amanda Haile and Sarah Denning picked up a victory for the Lady Bearcats.

1/30 - W&J

The Lady Bearcats dropped an 88-59 decision on the road to 17th-ranked Washington & Jefferson College.

Top finishers for the Lady Bearcats included:
1,000 Free- Amanda Haile- 3rd place
50 Free - Molly Michael- 3rd place
200 Butterfly- Olivia Cinberg- 3rd place
500 Freestyle- Katie Bittner- 3rd place

The Lady Bearcat 200 Freestyle Relay team, consisting of Cinberg, Haile, Sarah Denning, and Molly Michael, also picked up a second place finish, turning in a time of 1:50.20. 

2/2 - Westminster

The Lady Bearcats lost a home meet to Westminster College by a score of 148-78.

In the day's third event, Katie Bittner earned a second place finish in the 1000 Free, posting a time of 11:59.81.

Amanda Haile picked up a second place finish in the 200 Free, timed in 2:08.77.  Sarah Denning was fourth in the event.

Later in the day, Olivia Cinberg earned 9 points for SVC with a first place finish in the 200 Butterfly, timed in 2:24.94, while Haile earned a 9-point win in the 50 Free, with a time of 26.71.

Cinberg later finished third in the 100 Free (59.98), and Karli Buday finished third in the 200 Breaststroke (2:52.41).
