8/31 - Seton Hill

The Lady Bearcats opened the season with a 6-3 win over Seton Hill University.

Singles winners were Allie Botti, Sarah Rendulic, Kim Meier and Krista Long.  The doubles teams of Meghan Wells/Lori Orthen and Rendulic/Brittany Vignero also posted wins on the day.

9/3 - Mercyhurst

The Lady Bearcats lost to Mercyhurst by a score of 8-1 on the road.

Kim Meier, playing in the #6 singles position, picked up Saint Vincent's lone win, defeating Natalie Iovino, 6-3, 3-6, and 10-5 in the tiebreaker.

9/7 - Waynesburg

Meghan Wells and Sarah Rendulic were two-time winners on the day as Saint Vincent defeated Waynesburg University by a score of 7-2.

Wells, Allie Botti, Rendulic, Ashley Nord and Krista Long were winners in singles competition, while doubles victories went to the teams of Wells/Lori Orthen and Rendulic/Kim Meier.

SVC has two matches set for Saturday -- hosting perennial PAC champ Grove City at 11AM and Thomas More College at 3:30 on the SVC campus courts.

9/8 - Grove City & Thomas More

The Lady Bearcats lost at home to Grove City, 7-2, before rebounding to defeat Thomas More, 9-0.

SVC managed a pair of singles wins, by Sarah Rendulic and Kim Meier, against perennial Presidents' Athletic Conference champions Grove City.

In the Thomas More match, co-captain Krista Long was a two-time winner, winning in both singles and doubles, as was Brittany Vignero.

Meier, also a co-captain, was a winner in singles, keeping her record perfect for the season.  She has yet to lose in singles in 2007.

9/15 - Case Western & Allegheny

The Lady Bearcats fought hard, but fell just short of repeating their title in the Nancy Heath Invitational at Allegheny College, losing 5-4 to the hosts in the championship.

Led by the doubles teams of Meghan Wells/Lori Orthen and Sarah Rendulic/Kim Meier, SVC defeated Case Western Reserve by a score of 5-0 in a match that was abbreviated due to weather conditions.

Later in the day, the Lady Bearcats faced host Allegheny College in the championship, but fell 5-4 despite victories from the same two doubles teams, along with singles wins by Rendulic and Meier.

9/21 - PSU-Altoona

The Lady Bearcats defeated Penn State-Altoona on the road by a score of 7-2.

Meghan Wells and Allie Botti were two-time winners on the day, winning both their singles matches and teaming for the first time in doubles.  Sarah Rendulic was also a two-time winner.

Ashley Nord also won her singles match.

In addition to Wells and Botti, doubles winners included the teams of Lori Orthen/Rendulic, and Brittany Vignero/Krista Long.

9/24 - Geneva

The Lady Bearcats swept Geneva College by a score of 9-0 on the SVC campus courts.

Meghan Wells, Sarah Rendulic, Allie Botti, Lori Orthen, Ashley Nord and Kim Meier all won their singles matches.  

Doubles winners were the teams of Rendulic & Orthen, Wells & Botti, and Meier & Krista Long.

9/28 - Clarion

Clarion University edged Saint Vincent 5-4 in a closely contested match in Latrobe.

Lori Orthen was a two-time winner on the day for SVC, winning her singles match and teaming with Sarah Rendulic for a doubles victory.

Other singles winners were Kim Meier, who remains undefeated in singles this season, and Allie Botti.

Rendulic came back from a 1-4 deficit in the second set to send the decisive singles match to a 10-point third 'set', but her Clarion counterpart pulled out a narrow 10-8 victory.

9/30 - Chatham/Mount Union

The Lady Bearcats defeated Chatham University by a 9-0 score before dropping a 5-3 decision to Mount Union that was suspended due to darkness.

In the opener with Chatham, Meghan Wells, Allison Botti, Ashley Nord, Krista Long, Briggany Vignero, and Rebecca Cronauer were all victorious in singles action.  The doubles teams of Wells/Botti, Lori Orthen/Kim Meier, and Cronauer/Vignero each picked up wins.

In the nightcap, Mount Union picked up a 5-3 win, with the final match suspended called to darkness.

Orthen and Meier picked up singles wins, while the tandem of Meier/Nord winning in doubles.  The finale between Sarah Rendulic and her opponent wsa suspended due to darkness, during a tie breaker after splitting two sets. 

10/4 - Bethany

The Lady Bearcats swept Bethany College on the road, 9-0, to post the team's 8th win of the year.

Singles winners on the day were Sarah Rendulic, Allie Botti, Kim Meier, Lori Orthen, Krista Long and Rebecca Cronauer.  Meier remains undefeated in singles this season, now 9-0.

Doubles victories were posted by the teams of Meghan Wells/Cronauer, Rendulic/Long and Botti/Orthen. 

10/5 - PSU-Altoona

The Lady Bearcats scored an 8-1 victory at home over Penn State-Altoona.

Meghan Wells, Allie Botti, Rebecca Cronauer, Krista Long and Ashley Nord were winners in singles competition.  Doubles victories were posted by the teams of Wells/Kim Meier, Sarah Rendulic/Lori Orthen, and Long/Brittany Vignero.

10/7 - Westminster

The Lady Bearcats defeated visiting Westminster College by a score of 8-1, including another singles win by undefeated junior Kim Meier.

Joining Meier with singles victories were Meghan Wells, Sarah Rendulic, Lori Orthen and Ashley Nord.  

Doubles victories went to the teams of Wells & Meier, Orthen & Rendulic, and Krista Long & Allie Botti.

Meier is now 10-0 on the season in singles, and the Lady Bearcats are 10-5 in the fall campaign.

10/12 - West Liberty State

The Lady Bearcats finished their fall season with a loss to West Liberty State, but junior Kim Meier won her match to finish the fall with an 11-0 singles record.

West Liberty won six points on the day as a team, with Meier accounting for one of Saint Vincent's three wins.  Also winning in singles for SVC was senior Lori Orthen, who was appearing in the final match of her career.

Meier, from St. Marys, PA, also picked up a doubles win, teaming with Sarah Rendulic.

SVC finishes the fall season with a team record of 10-6.
