Courtney Baum, Director & Career Consultant *MBTI Certified Courtney directs the overall operations of the Career Center including all services, programs, and support for undergraduate and graduate students and Alumni. Courtney works to implement programs that support the broader mission of the college while meeting institutional and departmental goals, objectives, and benchmarks. She meets with students on career related topics from a variety of majors, while collaborating internally with campus offices, and serving as the primary contact for employers and Alumni interested in hiring our students. Courtney, along with her staff, supports the institution by tracking data related to post-graduate plans of recent graduates. Courtney also works with all staff members to ensure that students are gaining knowledge in career exploration transitioning, internship and job search techniques, interviewing and the graduate and professional school application process. Additionally, she partners with several colleges and universities to plan annual job fairs within Western PA. Courtney holds a MA degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from IUP and BS degree in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh Greensburg. Courtney has 17 years of experience in the field including serving as the Assistant Director and Career Consultant of Career Services at Carnegie Mellon University and the Community Service Learning Coordinator at Indiana University of PA.
Dennis Gilbert, Associate Director & Career Consultant*MBTI CertifiedDennis supports the overall operation of the Career Center by working with students to counsel individuals and assist in the career exploration process for those in the fields of science, law and students interested in pursuing work in the education and government sectors. Dennis also serves the institution by assisting with data collection of our graduates and inviting guests from a variety of industries to speak to our students body. In addition to collaborating with the staff through on-campus events, Dennis also serves as the external liaison and member of the executive planning committees for the WANT, WestPACS & Math Science Interview Day (MSIT). Dennis received his BS degree from Penn State, and MA degree in Counseling from IUP. He has been at Saint Vincent College for 33 years, and previously worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an employment counselor for 7 years.
Kim Woodley, Assistant Director & Career Consultant*MBTI Certified
Kim serves students majoring in various disciplines at the college. In addition to her role as a consultant for the humanities and social science students, Kim operates the work-study program. Working with campus employers and students, Kim ensures the work-study program runs efficiently serving over 100 departments on campus with nearly 800 student employees. Kim also assists in maintain student and Alumni relationships ensuring our post-graduate outcomes are positive in all majors and disciplines. Kim received a MA degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education and a BA degree in Journalism, both from IUP. Kim has worked at Saint Vincent College since 2003. She has served in previous roles in Financial Aid at the college. Prior to Saint Vincent, she worked as the Financial Aid Manager for a financial aid consulting firm and as the Financial Aid Officer for Pennsylvania Highland Community College.
Jenna Hogan, Career Consultant *MBTI CertifiedJenna works with the Career Center to ensure that our first-year students are able to successfully explore various career options related to their major. Jenna assists in the overall operation of the office by serving as a representative at events that take place off-campus. She also promotes our office through classroom presentations. Jenna serves the institution in a full-time capacity as the Assistant Director for Student Conduct. Jenna is an English Education graduate of Saint Vincent College and received her master of arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of PA. She also serves in another role on campus through the Office of Student Affairs.
Dolly Cain, Office Coordinator & Data SpecialistDolly monitors office activities to achieve maximum productivity for all visitors and guests. Dolly supports the Career Center staff in all administrative tasks including organizing of internship data using and tracking all internship opportunities completed by Saint Vincent College students. She also assists with organization of post-graduate data and creating reports for internship and outcomes information requested by faculty and the campus community. Additionally, she oversees the jobs entered into the Bearcat Central Network ensuring professional opportunities for students. Dolly’s education includes Unit Record /Computer Programming and Secretarial/Business. Prior to Saint Vincent, Dolly worked 11 years at the former Mesta Machine Company as a Division Engineer Secretary.
