Megan DePrimio, a senior communication major from Ligonier, will attend the 2013 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) convention June 13 to 15 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla.

DePrimio is one of 10 students in the U.S. who were awarded stipends of $800 as part of the Mike Cleary Student Stipend Program and the only recipient from an NCAA Division III school.

NACMA is a national organization that provides educational and networking opportunities, enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletics marketing administrators.

DePrimio expects to receive a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Saint Vincent College in May. After graduation, she plans to pursue a year-long internship or graduate assistant position with a goal of working in collegiate athletic marketing.

A member of the dean’s list, she has been honored with membership in Sigma Tau Delta English honor society, Lambda Pi Eta communication honor society (vice president) and Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society.

She has experience in public relations and marketing for the Saint Vincent women’s basketball team, served as a game day promotions and social media intern with the Pittsburgh Power football team, marketing intern with the Pittsburgh Steelers, marketing intern with University of Pittsburgh athletics, marketing and communication intern with Excela Health and as a sales and marketing intern with WTAE-TV.

DePrimio has also worked with the Saint Vincent College School of Communication, the Marketing and Communication Department and the Saint Vincent Review student newspaper.

A member of the women’s basketball team from 2009 to 2013, she served as vice president of the Advertising Club, as a member of the Women in Business Student Association and the Marketing Matrix Club and as a member of the Saint Vincent Certified Emerging Leadership Program.
