Sara M. Hart has been named director of the study abroad program at Saint Vincent College.
Hart, an academic affairs advisor at Saint Vincent since 2010, will work closely with students interested in studying in Australia, Austria, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, England, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan and other countries.
An adjunct instructor of Language and Rhetoric for the English Department, she previously served Saint Vincent as assistant director of residence life and as associate director of residence life.
Through the study abroad program, students of any major can take classes in their major, earn credits for core, complete an internship or study a foreign language. Program length varies from four-week winter break or summer programs to a full academic year.
A 2005 graduate of Saint Vincent College where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in English with high honors, she was a college scholar of the honors program, and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta for excellent academic achievement in her first year of study, Alpha Chi for scholarship in her academic discipline and Phi Alpha Theta international honor society in history. She studied abroad at the Universite D’Aix Marseille III in France in the spring of 2004. She earned a master of science degree in education curriculum and instruction from Saint Vincent College in 2008.
She is a resident of Youngwood.
