In preparation for the new school term beginning on Aug. 25, the Public Safety Department and other officials of Saint Vincent College have engaged in their annual review of plans to address issues of campus security.
This year, Saint Vincent gratefully acknowledges the commitment of the Pennsylvania State Police (the primary police agency serving the campus) to help provide a safe environment for the students, staff, members of the Benedictine community and visitors on the campus. In addition, Saint Vincent sincerely thanks the supervisors of Unity Township and officials from the Latrobe Police Department who have pledged their support on this important issue. State Representative Joseph Petrarca, a 1980 graduate of Saint Vincent, has also assisted in the discussions and planning sessions for the campus security program for this year.
Saint Vincent sincerely thanks all these parties for the cooperation they have extended and for the sincere concern that they have shown for the College community.
