Dr. Aaron Sams and his family moved to Pennsylvania from Colorado in 2012. The Sams family lives in Pittsburgh with a dog, cat, python, and a small flock of chickens. Dr. Sams grew up in Wyoming, the son of a coal miner and an elementary school teacher. He attended Biola University in southern California where he met his wife, Kelsey, and where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Master of Arts in Education. Dr. Sams also holds a Ph.D. in STEM Education from Texas Tech University. He is a former high school chemistry teacher and now works at Saint Vincent College as an Assistant Professor of Education where he teaches and trains future educators. Dr. Sams also serves as an education consultant and has worked with K-12 schools, colleges, seminaries, universities, and ministries of education around the world. He has co-authored numerous books for teachers on the Flipped Classroom concepts and is currently working on a book on STEM Education. Dr. Sams enjoys being outside biking, camping, rock climbing, hunting, or just lounging in a hammock. He is an avid homebrewer and likes to sip on his creations while barbecuing, grilling, or smoking meats.
