Dr. Whitney Liske grew up in central Minnesota and attended the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, where she met her husband, who was attending Saint John's University. After getting her degree from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Liske came to Saint Vincent College in August 2019. She enjoys spending time with her family and baking with her kids.

Research Interests
Liske's interests lie in an area of abstract mathematics called commutative algebra. In particular, she is interested in commutative rings, combinatorial commutative algebra, determinantal ideals, the Rees Algebra, Binomial Edge Ideals, and Determinantal Facet Ideals.
