Dr. Hisker currently serves as a Professor of Management in the McKenna School of Business. He has taught at Saint Vincent College since 1973 in a number of academic areas. From 1973 through 1981, he taught and later chaired the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Since 1981, Dr. Hisker has taught in the Business Department, where he currently serves in the capacity of associate dean and acting as chair of the McKenna School's business programs. He has taught a wide range of courses in his career at Saint Vincent. During his tenure at Saint Vincent, he has also served as an adjunct faculty member in Carnegie Mellon's Heinz School, the University of Pittsburgh, and West Virginia University. He currently serves as an adjunct professor in The University of Duquesne's MBA program. In addition to his career as a teacher, Dr. Hisker has maintained an active consulting career with a number for Fortune 500 companies as well as an ongoing relationship with local area hospitals and the Veterans Administration. Dr. Hisker recently earned a Master of Divinity Degree and was ordained as a permanent deacon in the Catholic Church. He is currently assigned to the partnered parishes of Saint Rita, Saint John, and Immaculate Conception in Connellsville, PA. He has been married for 41 years and has three children and three grandchildren. He is an avid gardener and woodworker in his spare time.
