LATROBE, PA – Saint Vincent College announced today that it has named Michael Andreola as its new vice president for philanthropy and alumni relations. His appointment began in late May 2025.
“We are excited to welcome Michael to the Saint Vincent community,” said Father Paul Taylor, O.S.B., C’87, S’91, president of Saint Vincent College. “As a parent of two alumni, his connection to the College and our mission is deeply personal. His leadership will be critical as we continue to engage our alumni and external constituents in support of the College.”
Andreola joins Saint Vincent following a long and successful career in leadership and fundraising for faith-based, mission-driven organizations. For the past 20 years, he has led advancement and philanthropy programs in Catholic higher education, including La Roche University, where he served as vice president for institutional advancement, and at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has served as director of development and executive director of philanthropic giving.
Andreola earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Allegheny College and a Master of Business Administration from Franciscan University. He and his wife, Eileen, have been married for 38 years and are longtime residents of Pleasant Hills in the southeastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. They have three grandchildren and seven grown children, including two recent Saint Vincent graduates in the class of 2024 and 2022.
“I am grateful to Father Paul and the Saint Vincent College administration for this incredible opportunity,” said Andreola. “I have long admired Saint Vincent for its Catholic and Benedictine heritage, and I have witnessed first-hand the excellent education and caring support that the faculty provides its students. I am excited to do my part to help advance Saint Vincent’s mission…always forward.”
Coinciding with Andreola’s appointment, current vice president of philanthropy and alumni relations Al Novak, C’81, will move into a senior vice president role, which will allow him to advise the College’s senior leadership on engaging alumni and external constituents.
