Saint Vincent College crowns Homecoming Queen and King, hosts annual Homecoming Weekend

LATROBE, PA — Saint Vincent College hosted its annual Homecoming Weekend Oct. 3-5 and announced the 12 seniors voted to the 2025 Homecoming Court in addition to this year’s Homecoming Queen and King.

The court was recognized with an on-field ceremony during halftime of the Saint Vincent vs. Case Western Reserve University football game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Chuck Noll Field, prior to the announcement of the two students who have been voted as Homecoming Queen and King. The students elected to this year’s court were Colt Easterling, Hope Farley, Reese Gadsby, Andrew Gelin, Lance Hall, Malley Kotula, Jakob Krumenaker, Kyle Murray, Julie Peterson, Grace Scoville, Kennedy Sheriff and Braden Thomas.

Gadsby and Murray were named queen and king, respectively.

About the Court

Colt Easterling is a communication major with minors in marketing and English from Queenstown, Maryland. He is the Student Government Association executive board president and the lead broadcaster for Saint Vincent Radio. He is also in the Benedictine Leadership Studies program and is part of Lambda Pi Eta and Sigma Tau Delta in addition to working for the SVC Athletic Communications Department. After graduation, he plans to work in news or sports as a broadcaster or reporter.

Hope Farley is a marketing major with a studio art minor from Saint Marys. She is active in Benedictine Leadership Studies and the Fred Rogers Scholars Program, and she serves as a prefect with Residence Life. She is also involved in the SAP Business One Program, Women in Business Club, Alpha Lambda Delta and Delta Mu Delta honor societies, intramural sports, Campus Ministry and The Company. She aspires to pursue a career in nonprofit or social marketing and administration.

Reese Gadsby, daughter of Keith and Jennifer Phillips and Adam Gadsby, is a biology major with a writing minor from Mercer. Upon graduation, she is hoping to pursue a degree in dental medicine. In addition to being a prefect in Saint Benedict Hall and serving in many leadership roles on campus, she is a member of the Honors College; the women’s basketball team; the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, for which she serves as secretary; the Student Government Association; and numerous other clubs.

Andrew Gelin, son of Veronica Robinson and Donald Gelin, is a sports management and marketing dual major from Lauderhill, Florida. He serves as senior class president, an admissions tour guide and the executive secretary for the African Diaspora Club. With more than 13 years of football experience, including collegiate play, he has also worked with the Miami Dolphins in youth programs. Passionate about leadership and sports, he plans to blend athletics, academics and service to pursue a career in law.

Lance Hall is a marketing major and data analytics minor from Powell, Ohio. He is also a member of the Benedictine Leadership Studies and SAP Business One programs. He is active in Campus Ministry, the SVC Clay Target team, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, Delta Mu Delta business honor society, Data Science and Analytics Club, the SVC Players, The Company, SVC Singers and Knights of Columbus. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in marketing.

Malley Kotula, the daughter of Michelle and Jeff Kotula of Washington, is a biology major and a music minor. She is a part of the Honors Community in the Benedictine Leadership Studies program, a third-year prefect, president of the Pre-SOMA medical club, member of the Saint Vincent Choir, senior class treasurer and a member of the Alpha Lamba Delta and Tri Beta honor societies. After Saint Vincent, she will attend medical school at LECOM Seton Hill with hopes of becoming a pediatrician.

Jakob Krumenaker, son of Brenda and Ken Krumenaker, is a biology major with a minor in psychology from Lowber. After graduation, he plans to pursue a PhD in microbiology and immunology at the University of Pittsburgh, with hopes of conducting biomedical research. He is a prefect; a Fred Rogers Scholar; Student Government Association Public Safety Committee chair; a member of the Honors Program; and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Tri Beta biological, and Psi Chi psychological honor societies.

Kyle Murray, son of Dottie and Leo Murray, is a nursing major from Altoona. On campus, he’s a captain on the football and tennis teams, a prefect and president of his nursing class. He’s active in intramural sports; leads Bible studies; and belongs to Alpha Lambda Delta, Tri Beta, and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. After graduation, he plans to join the US Air Force or work in an ICU, with future hopes of pursuing anesthesiology.

Julie Peterson, daughter of David and Jennifer Peterson of Ridgway, is double majoring in biology and political science. She serves as executive board secretary for the Student Government Association; works as a senior admissions ambassador; and is active in Women in STEM, Pre-SOMA, American Medical Student Association, and club flag football. She is also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Tri Beta, Gamma Sigma Epsilon and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies. She plans to attend law school and is grateful to share this experience with her friends.

Grace Scoville, the daughter of Mark and Tricia Scoville of Broadview Heights, Ohio, is a biology major with a theology minor. Upon graduation, she plans to attend veterinary school and practice equine sports medicine. She is a member of the cross-country and track teams, a prefect in Rooney Hall, a bird nerd and secretary of Tri Beta and the Society of Catholic Scientists. She would like to thank God and her friends for making her time here so special.

Kennedy Sheriff is an English major with secondary education and Spanish minors from Carlisle. She’s currently the executive vice president of the Senate for Student Government Association, president of Kappa Delta Pi, a prefect in Rooney Hall, a writing associate and an admissions ambassador. She’s a member of Education Club, Alpha Lambda Delta and Sigma Tau Delta honor societies and the women’s club flag football team. She wants to thank her loved ones for being so supportive.

Braden Thomas is a biology and business administration double major from Carrolltown. On campus, he’s a prefect in Saint Benedict Hall, leads the biology Collaborative Learning Program and serves as president of the Society of Catholic Scientists. He also represents students as Student Government Association committee chair and is active in the biology, chemistry and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school. He’s grateful for his family, friends, faith and all that Saint Vincent has given him.
