“Holmes and Watson: The Game’s Afoot” is a mystery adapted by Jon Jory from the short stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The Players’ production is directed by Greggory Brandt, director of theater operations and a professor of music and performing arts at Saint Vincent College.

“I selected this play knowing that it was time to direct a mystery again,” Brandt said, “but also because it will showcase many of the talented students I am blessed to teach and direct.”

The veteran director, who also serves as the producing artistic director for Saint Vincent Summer Theatre, praised the “amazingly talented students” for their dedication to the production and to the College’s performing arts program.

“It’s a pleasure to watch them grow not only as aspiring performers, but as young, strong and creative adults,” Brandt said. “They use these performance skills to become more confident and passionate about their every-day lives, and that’s truly what it’s all about.”
