LATROBE, PA – Pittsburgh-based contemporary chamber trio IonSound Project will present “Respite and Reflection” as part of the Saint Vincent College Concert Series program for the 2026 season.
The event is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica Crypt.
The IonSound Project features clarinetist Kathleen Costello, cellist Elisa Kohanski and pianist Jack Kurutz.
Featuring works by composers Jessie Montgomery, James MacMillan, Georgina Sanchez Torres and Paul Juon, IonSound Project’s repertoire includes music with a direct spiritual inspiration as well as pieces that set the mood for reflection.
“Respite and Reflection” was conceived in chaotic times amidst unlimited connection through technology and a 24-hour news cycle. The program’s pieces evoke music’s singular power to bring people together through shared experience and offer the time and space to slow down and reflect.
General admission is $10 at the door. Payment by cash or credit/debit card will be accepted. Monastic community members are welcomed free of charge; entry for all faculty, staff and students is free with a valid SVC ID card.
The Saint Vincent College Concert Series is dedicated to enriching the local community by presenting outstanding musical performances and fostering connections between music and academic excellence.
