LATROBE, PA – Submissions are being sought for the inaugural Saint Vincent College Alumni Fine Art Exhibition, which will be on view from Aug. 29 to Dec. 4 inside the Verostko Center for the Arts on the College campus.

The exhibition is open to all Saint Vincent graduates and to artists who completed at least one undergraduate course at the College. Artists may submit up to five original works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, fiber arts, stained glass, mosaics, printmaking and others.

AI-generated work, reproductions, video and new media are not eligible.

The deadline to submit work is Thursday, July 9, at 11:59 p.m. The entry form and in-depth guidelines can be found online.

“Art has been at the heart of the educational and spiritual enterprise of Saint Vincent since our founding,” said Dr. Elizabeth Barker, Verostko Center director, Saint Vincent Art & Heritage Collections curator and art history instructor at the College. “We can’t wait for this exhibition to help us share the artistic achievements of our talented graduates with our entire community this fall.”

Saint Vincent College graduates from the Classes of 2022-2026 are invited to submit up to five works of art free of charge. All other applicants must pay $20 for up to five entries.

Artists whose work is selected for the exhibition will be notified via email by Aug. 5. An opening reception for the exhibition is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4-7 p.m. inside the Verostko Center.

“We are thrilled to present the inaugural Saint Vincent College Alumni Fine Art Exhibition and to celebrate the remarkable creativity of our alumni,” said Amy Roadman, public outreach and programming coordinator for the Verostko Center. “This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with former students, showcase the diverse artistic paths they have pursued since graduation, and strengthen the bonds between the College and the broader community. We look forward to welcoming visitors to experience the talent, innovation and lifelong impact of the arts at Saint Vincent College this fall.”

This year’s exhibition will be juried by Alison Brand Oehler, who serves as co-director of Concept Art Gallery in Pittsburgh.
