May 2026 SVC graduates eye advanced degrees

LATROBE, PA – Fifty recent graduates from Saint Vincent College’s Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing; School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; and the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government are confirmed to attend graduate and professional schools in fall 2026 to pursue advanced degrees.

Graduates from the Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing include:

Alexis Arlaus, a health science major from Fair Lawn, New Jersey, who will pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy at Duquesne University;

Anthony Ashbaugh, a health science major from Saltsburg, who will pursue a Master of Science in sports science/strength and conditioning at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;

Victoria Barone, a mathematics and data science double major from North Huntingdon, who will pursue a PhD in statistics at the University of Pittsburgh;

Mateo Camacho, a biology major from Somerset, who will pursue a Doctor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College;

Sloane Condo, a biochemistry major from Altoona, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM);

Elizabeth Dacanay, a biochemistry major from Beaver, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM;

Katlyn Dobransky, a mechanical engineering major from Sarver, who will pursue a Master of Science in bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh;

Trenten Ferree, a biology major from Greensburg, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM;

Brooke Garman, a biochemistry major from Bloomsburg, who will pursue a Master of Science in biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University;

Nicholas Gaydos, a biology major from Irwin, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM;

Lauren Girasia, a health science major from Plum, who will pursue a Master of Science in athletic training at Chatham University;

SaniAnne Jones, a biology and theology double major from Bridgeville, who will pursue a Doctor of Optometry at Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University;

Garrett Knapp, a health science major from Titusville, who will pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Slippery Rock University;

Malley Kotula, a biology major from Washington, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM;

Cassandra Lanza, a computer science major from Marysville, who will pursue a Master of Science in geographic information systems at the Georgia Institute of Technology;

Julie Peterson, a biology and political science double major from Ridgway, who will pursue a Juris Doctor at Capital University Law School;

Jude Pontzer, a physics major from Glen Burnie, Maryland, who will pursue a Master of Science in materials engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology;

Enzo Rotunno, a mathematics major from Pittsburgh, who will pursue a Juris Doctor at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University;

Grace Scoville, a biology major from Broadview Heights, Ohio, who will pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University;

Damek Shontofski, a health science major from Johnstown, who will attend the Pennsylvania State Police Academy to become a state trooper;

Rebecca Slate, a biochemistry major from Boswell, who will pursue a PhD in chemistry at Duquesne University;

Anthony Sparta, a physics, chemistry and mathematics triple major from Jefferson Hills, who will pursue a PhD in physics at the University of Notre Dame;

Braden Thomas, a biology and business administration double major from Carrolltown, who will pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine;

Olivia Trotter, a biology major from Altoona, who will pursue a degree in physician assistant studies at Gannon University (Ruskin, Florida); and

Maverick Vaniel, a biology major from Ligonier, who will pursue a Doctor of Medicine at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

John Adair, a communications major from DuBois, who will pursue a Juris Doctor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School;

Corey Beougher, a philosophy major from Sinking Spring, who will pursue a Master of Education at the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education Teaching Fellows program;

Aiden Bewick, a Spanish and criminology, law and society double major from McMurray, who will pursue a Juris Doctor at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University;

Chyonna Blango-Symms, an art education major from Cranberry Township, who will pursue a Master of Science in curriculum and instruction at Saint Vincent College;

Faith Costa, a psychology major from Windber, who will pursue a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;

Emma Harclerode, a psychology and sociology double major from Bedford, who will pursue a Master of Science in human performance at Barry University;

Ethan Hill, a psychology major from Latrobe, who will pursue a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling at Slippery Rock University;

Isabella Jolly, an anthropology major from Los Lunas, New Mexico, who will pursue a Master of Arts in anthropology at New Mexico State University;

Anthony McShane, a theology and criminology, law and society double major from Morristown, New Jersey, who will pursue a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Mary;

Sr. Dao T. Nguyen, a sociology major from Denville, New Jersey, who will pursue a Master of Arts in theology at Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary;

Madison Scola, a psychology major from Bentleyville, who will pursue a Doctor of Psychology at Appalachian State University; and

Olivia Toomey, a psychology major from Bethel Park, who will pursue a Master of Science in industrial/organizational psychology at West Chester University.
