LATROBE, PA – The Saint Vincent College Concert Series continues with its October installment of Music at Midday, featuring “Four Great Toccatas and Fugues” for organ performed by J. Christopher Pardini in the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica Crypt.

The event, scheduled for noon on Friday, Oct. 16, features the baroque grandeur of the “Four Great Toccatas and Fugues” written by German composer and musician Johann Sebastian Bach.

“From the iconic ‘Toccata and Fugue in D minor’ to the monumental ‘Toccata and Fugue in F Major,’ this hour-long program showcases the power, drama and majesty of 18th-century counterpoint,” Pardini said.

Admission is free.

Pardini is a music instructor, director of the Saint Vincent College Concert Series, director of music and liturgy at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Parish in Greensburg and cathedral organist for the Diocese of Greensburg.
