Sports Friendship Day is an event designed for individuals with special needs, intellectual disabilities, or physical limitations, ages 7 to adult. When each participant arrives, they will be paired up with a college-student-buddy that will assist them throughout the day and ensure that they get around to all of the fun activities planned. Some of these activities include: light sports activities, arts and crafts, karaoke, face painting, and more! Following these activities, there will be a Mass and a dinner provided for all participants and their families.

This event will be limited to the first 110 reservations, so sign up fast before our spots fill up! There will be a waiting list for additional reservations in case of cancellations, so if you are unable to come after you have registered, please contact us and cancel your registration so that others can be accommodated. In this case, contact us at 724-805-2098 or bridget.divittis@stvincent.edu.

Additional Information

Saint Vincent’s Benedictine tradition values hospitality and the welcoming of others to share in our possessions, our joy, and, most of all, our heart. We have received much as a community and would like to share some of it with you at our home.

We realize the difficulty in scheduling many activities in one afternoon, so we have kept the periods short enough to ensure variety without prolonging the day; there will be a quiet area provided to the participants in the case that they need to take part in calmer activities.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the events, including mass and dinner (free of charge), and enjoy our beautiful campus. We ask that individuals who have brought participants remain on campus for the duration of the event. Please note how many family members will be attending mass and the dinner on the registration form.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. They will receive a t-shirt at registration for them to wear for the day and take home as a souvenir!

This event is made possible due to the generosity of the entire Saint Vincent College Community, especially our students and the Student Government Association (SGA), who help fund this event.
