Wimmer Scholarship Competition

43rd Annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition

If you are looking for academic challenge, Saint Vincent College offers a rounded liberal arts and sciences curriculum that will help you learn to think critically and reason effectively, an Interdisciplinary Writing Program that will build your communication skills for future success, the opportunity to apply for our rigorous Honors Community – and the chance to win one of five full-tuition scholarships during our annual Wimmer Scholarship Examination.

The Wimmer Scholarship Examination is a general knowledge examination open to graduating high school seniors. To complete your registration, you must apply for admission and submit an official high school transcript documenting your cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, as well as a documented SAT (ERW and Math) score of 1250 or above, a minimum ACT of 26 or a CLT of 88. A test score is required to sit for the exam unless a student has a 3.75 GPA with at least six AP courses.

By taking the Wimmer Scholarship Examination, you could win a full scholarship to cover the cost of a Saint Vincent education! The 43rd Annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition, named for our founder, Archabbot Boniface Wimmer, O.S.B., is your opportunity to win a scholarship that will cover full tuition, room and board for eight semesters – an estimated value of more than $215,000! Four winners will receive a full-tuition scholarship for eight semesters, a value of more than $160,000.
