Get Access to Your Student's Account
Before you can view or take any action on your student’s account, they must first give you proxy access. Your student must take action first, then you can complete the login process.
Step 1: Instructions for the Student
- Log in to the Student Self-Service Portal
- Self-Service can be accessed through this link or from MySV, the College’s intranet portal. (A link to MySV can always be found at the bottom of any page on Saint Vincent’s website)
- Log in to either of the above using your Saint Vincent login information. Note: Students receive their SVC login information when they gain access to their enrollment portfolio.
- Once in the Self-Service portal, click on your username in the top right menu and from the drop-down menu, select View/Add Proxy Access.
- Click the drop-down arrow under Select a Proxy.
- Confirm the first name, last name, email address, and relationship of the person you selected. Note: If you would like to add someone who is not already listed, contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@stvincent.edu
- Select the level of access to allow:
- Complete: View everything
- Selected: View only the items you mark.
- Make your selections under General
- Read the Disclosure Agreement and click the box to authorize.
- Click Submit.
Step 2: Instructions for Parent or Proxy
Follow these steps after your student has completed the above.
- Wait for your username and password to arrive in two separate emails. This can take up to 24 hours.
- Log in to the Self-Service Portal. (We recommend that you bookmark this page for easy access.) You must utilize multi-factor authentication.
- Click your username at the top right and from the dropdown menu select Change Proxy Access.
- Select the student you want to view and click Continue. You will now view the account information the student has selected to share with you.
Once this step has been completed, you can view your student’s bill and financial aid package, make a payment, or set up a payment plan.

I’m a parent of a St. Vincent student and would like access to my student’s online account. How can I gain Proxy access?
Access is granted only by authorization of the student. Once the necessary steps are completed by the student, a designated Proxy will receive an email indicating the account has been created with login information. A second email will provide a temporary password.
How many proxies can I assign to my account?
Students can assign as many proxies to their account as they wish, however, the relationship must already exist in our system. Please contact the Registrar to add a new relationship by emailing registrar@stvincent.edu.

Granting proxy access is separate from submitting the FERPA Release form. You’ll need to log into Self-Service and designate your parent as your proxy.
Can St. Vincent staff make updates to what my proxy can view?
No. Staff cannot change the permission settings for proxies. Only the student granting the proxy access can change the permissions that are granted.

No. Students cannot grant their proxy access to grades.
My mom is already my proxy. Now my brother is a student here. Can she automatically access my brother’s information too?
