LATROBE, PA — Daniel Lynch, B.A., J.D., C’89, delivered the keynote address at the 2024 Saint Vincent College Spring Honors Convocation on March 24 in the historic Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica.

An attorney for nearly 30 years, Lynch is founder and managing partner of The Lynch Law Group, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest-growing law firms. His areas of experience include securities litigation, employment law counseling and litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and business succession planning.Daniel Lynch delivers the 2024 Honors Convocation address

“Saint Vincent College taught me about integrity, hard work, spirituality and the value of deep, enduring friendships and relationships,” Lynch told a crowd of students, faculty, staff, family and friends. “These lessons have been the basis of everything I’ve achieved. If you’ve had similar experiences at Saint Vincent, you are prepared for anything you want to achieve in your life.”

Lynch has served as president of the Butler County Bar Association (BCBA) and its charitable affiliate, the BCBA Foundation. He is a Hearing Committee member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and was a board member of the Pennsylvania Venture Capital Association from 2016 to 2018. Lynch has been recognized for his exceptional service and professional achievement by Best Lawyers in America (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers (2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023).

“The practice of law has given him the ability to have an impact on our region and the nation,” said Fr. Paul Taylor, O.S.B., C’87, S’92, president of Saint Vincent College. Lynch and Fr. Paul’s brother were roommates at Saint Vincent.

In 2018, Lynch published his first book, “Building a Million-Dollar Book of Business, Principles and Behaviors for a Successful Law Practice.” The second chapter details what Lynch calls his seven fundamental principles of success: hard work, pursuit of excellence, promise-keeping, seize the day, make friends along the way, don’t be afraid to take risks and cultivate positive energy. He is a frequent speaker about business development for practicing attorneys.

“The book is in the offices of every one of our employees,” Lynch said. “Whenever somebody is feeling down, misguided or lacking motivation, I say to them, ‘You need to reread chapter two.’”

Before starting his law firm, Lynch was vice president and general counsel for Pittsburgh Logistics Systems, Inc. He also was CEO of 3e Software, Inc., a start-up company that provided software to e-marketplaces, and a practicing lawyer for six years at Reed Smith LLP in Pittsburgh.
