The College’s highest honor, the President’s Award is presented to the member of the graduating senior class who best embodies what the Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts and sciences College values in its students: academic achievement, leadership and community service.

Fr. Paul Taylor, O.S.B. president of Saint Vincent College, lauded Persin for “her academic accomplishments and conscientious approach to learning, for being a disciplined student-athlete, for her service to the Student Government Association and for undertaking an opportunity for a transformational experience of mind and heart.”

A native of Greensburg, Persin has been president of the Student Government Association (SGA) executive board, class president and treasurer of the SGA, treasurer of the Women in STEM Club and the Math Club and a member of the Orientation Committee.

Over the past year, Persin has participated in internships through the Department of Defense, the Office of Naval Research and Lockheed Martin. Following graduation, Persin plans to work for the federal government.
