Welcome to Saint Vincent College Campus Ministry!
At Saint Vincent College, we have a deep love for Christ. The monks of Saint Vincent, Archabbey who founded the college, have entrusted Campus Ministry with the mission of helping students grow closer to God and each other. Our Campus Ministry programs, groups, and events support your spiritual, social, intellectual, and emotional well-being. Regardless of your faith tradition, Campus Ministry has something to offer you. Everyone is invited to deepen their relationship with Jesus and with one another. Campus ministry’s programs, services, and activities are grounded in the Benedictine Hallmarks of Education and promote love, community, and hospitality in the same manner as the monks from centuries ago.
You can stay in the loop with the Benedictine Weekly, delivered digitally to all students, keeping you updated on upcoming events. You can also follow us on Instagram for more information.
Campus Ministers
Our campus ministers are here to offer personal guidance whenever you need someone to talk to. We also welcome your prayer requests, which are important to us and are included in our daily Masses at Mary, Mother of Wisdom Student Chapel.
For all prayer requests and mass intentions, please reach out to Fr. Max at maximilian.maxwell@stvincent.edu
Father Max, O.S.B.
Director of Campus Ministry
Mass and Worship Schedules
We invite you to participate in our Celebration of Mass, Confessions, Adoration, Rosary, and a monthly Festival of Praise. Students are encouraged to serve as lectors, cantors, ushers, and other ministers of hospitality. We have weekly service times in the Mary, Mother of Wisdom Student Chapel and Archabbey Basilica. Discover service times here.
Interdenominational Opportunities
For students who are not members of the Catholic faith, our campus ministers connect with area churches of all denominations for those who wish to attend a service off campus. We also partner with a local pastor for Bible studies, worship services, and fellowship on campus.
Embrace your faith journey.

- Local churches: Click here for a guide to area churches.
- Pastor: Protestant students are served by volunteer campus minister Kirt Conroy, the lead pastor at Latrobe Alliance Church.
- Rooted Discipleship Group: Hosts student-led Sunday evening worship services led Pastor Conroy, Bible studies, and fellowship activities.
- Jubilee Conference: Sponsored by the Coalition of Christian Outreach, this annual 3-day conference in Pittsburgh is for students who want their college experience to mean more.
- Testimony Nights: For students to share their salvation stories.
“The Rooted Discipleship group adds to the offerings from Campus Ministry. Faith is a big part of Saint Vincent, so I think it’s super important to have something available for students to make them feel at home and know they have a place where they can build upon their faith.”
Meredith Marsh, C'25
Faith Formation and Fellowship
Campus Ministry invites you into a community where faith and friendship go hand in hand. Through small groups, fellowship nights, and opportunities to grow spiritually, you'll find a place to belong and deepen your relationship with God and others. We believe that faith grows through encounter—encounter with Christ and with one another. As you dive into Scripture, share your story, and explore your calling; you'll be nourished and supported on your journey.
Come as you are. Find your people. Grow in faith.
-
- Women’s Ministry: Women across campus grow in sisterhood through weekly small groups that meet to pray and chat, as well as through the Big/Little program, which fosters relationships between underclass and upperclass students. At Women’s Ministry Nights, women students can reflect on the writings of the holy women who have gone before us.
- Men's Ministry: Every week, men gather for “The Legion,” where they compete in sports, learn technical skills, and have the opportunity to be formed as men of God. Additionally, the Knights of Columbus has a council on campus comprised of nearly a dozen students.
- Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA): The OCIA program teaches and forms students seeking to become Catholic, receive the sacrament of Confirmation, and explore the Catholic faith.
- Bible Studies: Students can dive into God's word to learn about their faith and engage in fellowship by joining a Bible study. With options such as freshmen-only, upperclassmen, protestant, and midnight, you're certain to find one that fills your cup.
- Retreats: Campus Ministry hosts four annual retreats: men's, women's, Advent, and Ignite. These weekends are filled with faith-filled programs, prayer, and fellowship to deepen and refresh your relationship with Christ.
Community Outreach
Faith leads to action. At Saint Vincent, Campus Ministry offers ways to share Christ’s love through events like Sports Friendship Day, high school retreats, and visits to nursing homes. It's about showing up, building community, and making others feel seen and valued.
Your presence matters—come be part of it.

Sports Friendship Day
Sports Friendship Day is an event designed for individuals with special needs, intellectual disabilities, or physical limitations, ages 7 to adult. As participants arrive, they are paired up with college-student buddies who lead them through a series of engaging activities.

March for Life
Students travel to Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life, advocating for the protection of unborn lives, opposing abortion, and promoting a message of life and human dignity.

Steps with St. Dymphna 5K
This 5K Walk/Run raises funds for the Blackburn Center, supporting victims of domestic violence to honor St. Dymphna, the patron saint of mental illness and domestic abuse victims.

Life in Christ Week
Life in Christ Week celebrates the sanctity of every human life, honoring the legacy and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the dignity of mothers, families, and their children, and the unity of all Christians praying together. Each event offers an opportunity for the community to learn, find fellowship, and pray for the sanctity of life.
Service Trips
Rooted in faith and a desire to serve, Saint Vincent students travel near and far to bring hope and help where it's needed most. From local projects over fall break to mission trips in Alaska, Brazil, and Taiwan, these experiences offer a powerful way to live out the Gospel. Service trips challenge students to step outside their comfort zones, grow in compassion, and discover the joy of giving.
They’re not just about helping others—they’re about being transformed in the process.

Alaska
"What made the trip truly unforgettable was the people I was with. Whether it was service work at the National Shrine of St. Therese, mulching, cleaning gutters or moving gravel or the fun activities we had like hiking up a mountain or cooking the fish we caught, or singing songs around a campfire, the friends I made have been some of the most fruitful and meaningful friendships of my life." Will Hoerster, C'26

Rome
"I went to Rome, expecting to embrace a new experience and culture. Instead, I embraced a new devotional life that has changed me for the better." Erin Brody, C'25

West Virginia
"During our service trip to West Virginia, I enjoyed being able to help at the food bank. It was also fun to make new connections with a new group of people!" Vincent Amatucci, C'26
