Residence Hall Move-In Guide

Welcome to Saint Vincent College! This guide includes all move-in details for first-year students, transfers, upperclassmen, and commuters for Fall 2026.


Freshmen Residence Hall Move-In: Friday, August 28

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

Location: Saint Benedict Hall

Time: Your arrival time is based on your floor.

Floor Time
5th floor 7:45 am to 8:15 am
4th floor 8:15 am to 9:00 am
3rd floor 9:00 am to 9:45 am
2nd floor 9:45 am to 10:15 am
1st floor 10:15 am to 10:45 am
Late Move-In 10:45 am to 11:15 am

Process:

  • Enter Parking Lot A by the Fred Rogers Center to receive keys and ID at the Orientation Welcome Tent. Wait to be directed to Saint Benedict Hall. Keep cars in your party together when entering the line.
  • The Orientation Committee members will take your belongings to your room.
  • If you are a varsity athlete you will be directed to the Fred Rogers Center first to meet with athletic training staff before moving into your residence hall.

Label Your Belongings:

Label all belongings with your name and residence hall room number before arriving.

Financial Clearance:

Be sure you have financial clearance before you arrive on campus. If not, you will be directed to the Business Office before receiving your key and ID.

Freshmen and Transfer Commuter Student Check-In: Friday, August 28

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

Location: Citrone Family Commuter Center (Placid Hall)

Time: 
1:00-1:45 pm - Last names beginning with A-M
1:50-2:30 pm - Last names beginning with N-Z

Process:

  • Park in Lot A near the Fred Rogers Center.
  • Proceed to the Citrone Family Commuter Center in Placid Hall to receive your ID card, first year information packet, and Welcome Weekend schedule.
  • If you are an athlete you will be directed to the Fred Rogers Center to meet with athletic training staff.

*Check-in is mandatory.

Financial Clearance:

Be sure you have financial clearance before you arrive on campus. If not, you will be directed to the Business Office before receiving your key and ID.

Transfer Move-In: Friday, August 28

Time: 12 pm-2 pm

Process: Arrive at the Welcome Booth where you'll be directed to your residence hall.

  • Report directly to your residence hall for keys after financial clearance.
  • Unload quickly and move vehicles immediately to allow traffic to flow.
  • Keep cars in your party together when entering the unloading areas.
  • If you are an athlete, you will be directed to the Fred Rogers Center to meet with athletic training staff.

Upperclassmen Move-In: Sunday, August 30

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

    • 3rd Floor from 8:00AM to 9:00AM
    • 2nd Floor from 9:00AM to 10:00AM
    • 1st Floor from 10:00AM to 11:00AM
  • Gerard Hall
    • 3rd Floor from 9:00AM to 10:00AM
    • 1st Floor from 10:00AM to 11:00AM
  • Bonaventure Hall 
    • 3rd Floor from 8:00AM to 9:00AM
    • 1st Floor from 10:00AM to 11:00AM
  • Aurelius Hall 
    • 6th Floor from 1:00PM to 2:00PM
    • 5th Floor from 2:00PM to 3:00PM
    • 4th Floor from 3:00PM to 4:00PM
  • Wimmer Hall
    • 6th & 5th Floor from 1:00PM to 2:00PM
    • 4th & 3rd Floor from 2:00PM to 3:00PM
    • 2nd & 1st Floor from 3:00PM to 4:00PM

  • Report directly to your residence hall for keys after financial clearance.

Additional Information

Financial Clearance – All Students
  • Must be obtained before move-in or check-in.
  • Students not cleared will be sent to the Business Office to resolve their account.
  • Business Office Hours for clearance: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Meal Plans
  • Early arrival students: pay cash unless prior arrangements are made.
  • Upperclassmen meal plans begin Sunday, August 30 with brunch in the Community Center.
  • Brunch and dinner served on move-in day.
  • Meal plan changes allowed up to one week after classes begin via Student Affairs.
Parking Permits
  • Request via Public Safety page on the MySV Portal.
  • Permits will be delivered to campus mailboxes.
  • Cars without permits will be ticketed during the first week of classes.
