Residence Hall Move-In Guide

Welcome to Saint Vincent College! This guide includes all move-in details for first-year students, upperclassmen, and commuters.


Freshmen Residence Hall Move-In: Friday, August 22

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

Location: Saint Benedict Hall

Your arrival time is based on your floor.

5th floor 7:45 am to 8:15 am
4th floor 8:15 am to 9:00 am
3rd floor 9:00 am to 9:45 am
2nd floor 9:45 am to 10:15 am
1st floor 10:15 am to 10:45 am
Late Move-In 10:45 am to 11:15 am

Freshmen Commuter Student Check-In: Friday, August 22

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Location: Citrone Family Commuter Center (Placid Hall)

Process:

  1. Park in Lot A near the Fred Rogers Center.
  2. Proceed to Placid Hall to receive:
    • Student ID card
    • First-year information packet
    • Welcome Weekend schedule

Check-in is mandatory.

Upperclassmen Move-In: Sunday, August 24

Please read your section carefully and follow the designated times and procedures to ensure a smooth arrival.

2nd fl. Bonventure Hall & 5th fl. Aurelius Hall 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
1st fl. Bonventure Hall & 4th fl. Aurelius Hall 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
5th & 6th fls. Wimmer Hall 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
3rd & 4th fls. Wimmer Hall 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Arrival Process - Upperclassmen

  • Report directly to your residence hall for keys after financial clearance.
  • Large items: unload quickly and move the vehicle immediately to allow traffic to flow.
  • Keep cars in your party together when entering the unloading areas.
Label Your Belongings

Label all belongings with your name and residence hall room number before arriving.

Additional Information

Financial Clearance – All Students
  • Must be obtained before move-in or check-in.
  • Students not cleared will be sent to the Business Office to resolve their account.
  • Business Office Hours for clearance: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • Students arriving after hours must clear the next business day by noon or their ID will be deactivated.

Meal Plans
  • Early arrival students: pay cash unless prior arrangements are made.
  • Upperclassmen meal plans begin Sunday, August 24 with brunch in the Community Center.
  • Brunch and dinner served on move-in day.
  • Meal plan changes allowed up to one week after classes begin via Student Affairs.
Parking Permits
  • Request via Public Safety page on the MySV Portal.
  • Permits will be delivered to campus mailboxes.
  • Cars without permits will be ticketed during the first week of classes.
